Guild Wars 2

Hey, I have had this game since release but have never made it past level 15 as with no friends and my unfamiliarity with this game has made it hard to me to keep interest :/. However, the new season story looks really good and have read many good thing about so I have an itch to try this out again.

NOTE I have NEVER done any of the live world or holiday events or fractals or any dungeons for that matter but would really like to try them.

I have played all the major MMOs so I kind of know how to play and what is going on (a bit) and have played a variety of classes to level 10-15. I am in the Eastern Time Zone and am looking for a small close guild or a large guild with a small clique willing to take me under their wing. Due to real life I may not be able to get on everyday but am on most days around 8pm EST.

I keep seeing people advertising speed runs through everything which I am sure if fine but right now I would like to take my time and actually play the content and not try and glitch/abuse mechanics to get things done.

I currently don’t have any characters anymore and am looking for a fresh start on any server. I haven’t played much so I don’t know what I will enjoying doing the most but in past MMOs I have been drawn to instanced dungeons.

Remnants of Hope was founded on June 7, 2009. Originally a Star Wars Galaxies guild, it moved to Star Wars: The Old Republic at launch. Well known and respected on the Jung-Ma server, we continue to have an active, positive presence in the game.
At the request of its members, Remnants of Hope has changed into a multi-gaming guild to accommodate Guild Wars 2 and Wildstar. Over the past 3 years we have undergone changes but continue to improve with age and experience. We strive to provide an engaging environment for all players to play the way they want. 3. Once validated follow the steps found here to fill out an application!
4. Once your application is accepted you go through a 2 week trial process to make sure we are the right guild for you.
5. After your trial period you are a full member!

We fall into the “small guild” category, probably 10-20 active per day at this point, with our core being about 5-10. We do a lot of teaching – many of us are trainers or coaches of a sort in our real lives – so if you’re looking to learn more, we might be a great fit.

We can be choosy about who we invite into our little group, but if you’re the sort of person who likes voice chat, ping me and you can come hang out with us tonight/whenever.

Synergy is a guild started by some friends with a goal to create a small community of friendly players. We aren’t interested in having 500 members where no one knows anyone else. We are currently playing Guild Wars 2 primarily on the Jade Quarry server.

For Guild Wars 2, we participate both PvE and organized PvP in both WvWvW and structured PvP. Most of us have been gaming together since the days before Guild Wars 1 and continue to do so. Because of our long standing community, you will find that it is an atmosphere where everyone knows each other and learns to play well as a well oiled machine, hence the name Synergy.

This seems to be a good game. For one thing, women are welcome here. There are a lot of guys wearing female avatars too, but there are a lot of actual female people playing this game also. It doesn’t offend us.

you hear moms in teamspeak/mumble with the kids shouting in the background. You hear guys talking like they are supposed to with women in the room.

I know how you feel. I initially was playing with a bunch of friends at launch, but almost all of them started quitting for one reason or another and slowly my interest in the game started to wane. I took a break for almost a year, and an old friend dragged me into FLUX last November and I found that the members were pretty like-minded and it brought back my interest in the game. Having friends makes a huge difference!

It looks like there’s no shortage of welcoming players (in this thread and in the game in general) who want to help you learn more about the game and let you be a part of the community. I’m sure you’ll be able to find a guild you’ll fit in well with.
