NA Player looking for WvW home
Aww, your play times end when mine start. Otherwise I’d be asking you to join my 5man.
Out of curiosity Achilles, how is JQ? I have heard good things, but I have also heard bad things from the “no skill, spam 1” crowd.

People say that about all of the top rated servers. I wouldn’t take it to heart, if you’re really curious about how a server is in WvW it’s BEST to experience it for yourself. JQ does have a lot of talent. I have seen first hand what a lot of those guilds can do.
If you’re looking to have a group to play with EVERYDAY according to that schedule, you’ll want to make sure you find a server with a decent European population. It seems that you would be logging on during or towards the end of their primetime nearly everyday, and finishing up right as most of the east coast guilds do.
Best of luck finding a new home.

It’s a lot of fun! Most certainly a lot more than spam 1.
I spent a week on SoR, and even though there is a lot of talent there, I just didn’t quite fit in with the omniblobs.
JQ prefers to run multiple 30 man groups and smaller havoc squads to suit a variety of playstyles. It has it’s moments (all 3 servers colliding in a keep for instance) where skill lag is annoying, but this is not as common as people make it out to be. Ultimately if skill lag is a big turn off, don’t follow the larger zergs :P Plenty of action elsewhere on the maps to enjoy.
Hope this helps. GL in your search!
Your times are the exact same as mine. I don’t know if your only looking at NA servers but I’d like to throw Vabbi out there.
I have been on Vabbi(EU) for about 3 weeks now, though i haven’t been able to play as much as i would like cause of work. I can say that the community on Vabbi is freakin awesome lol. The people are good at what they do since there isn’t many of us we are all used to fighting 3 to 1 odds most of the time.
Now I will tell you that your times will be night time for the server and you will most likely be fighting smaller groups of people and we there will most likely be very little in the way of a Zerg on any of the 3 servers.
If you need more info just check out the other Forum “Vabbi Needs You”.
:) thanks.
Server: Northern Shiverpeaks, Commander
Guild: Legends and Myth [Myth]
I feel it is more important to have a good guild versus a good WvW server. I have a greater sense of belonging due to my guild. I don’t particularly care what tier server I am on as long as I have a great group to run with. My recommendation is to test drive guilds rather than servers.

Belle makes some pretty good points (Hi Belle!)
We’ve got some pretty good guilds on ET and their WvW presence isn’t so huge that you’ll be “lost in the pile”. In other words, each individual stands out on their own merits.
Just a few that come to mind are:
[IoM]: Heavily WvW focused and I’ve found them to be “just right” with regards to WvW seriousness and skill. Great Commanders too and they all seem to be pretty patient.
[TAC]: They’re a PvE/WvW guild and can be pretty fun-loving/silly (in a good way) and are currently working kitten a WvW core group and perfecting their tactics. The guild leader has a good head on her shoulders and is a great organizer.
[PK]: I believe they’re mostly PvE oriented but they’ve got a few die-hard WvW’ers. They also have one of THE MOST PATIENT Commanders I think I’ve ever seen (He’s been AFK for a bit lately though). I don’t believe they run very many large-guild groups in WvW, though I could be wrong.
[BCN]: Another guild that I’ve been getting to know recently and they are pretty knowledgeable (and coordinated) WvW’ers. I’m not sure of their PvE background because I rarely see them outside of WvW so I’m gonna go out on a limb and say they’re also WvW-centric. Their TS convos are a little to “not-Disney” for me, though. haha
[MoS]: I ran with these guys last night. They seem to be a pretty small guild and also seemed to be working on some small-group coordination. Some of their members also have some military background.
[BS]: I don’t know a whole lot about this guild, but they seem to be WvW-focused and participate regularly in GvG battles. Based on how much crying I hear from other servers about them, I suspect that they’re probably pretty good.
There are a lot more, of course, but those are the ones that jump out at me at this particular moment. Also, I can’t think of many guilds on ET that have an “elitist” mentality.
ET also has a server-wide TeamSpeak. We also have a web site. I checked today and the “public” forums didn’t seem to have much traffic, but the “private” forums may have a lot more posts. Despite our lower WvW population (and thus lower ranking), we are generally thought of to be pretty scrappy and tenacious by those who have fought us.
Also, nearly no queues.
(disclaimer: I’m not a member of any of those guilds above so this post wasn’t an advertisement for them.) haha

Hi Shade!
I am a big fan of [BS] if you’re interested in a guild where every player is very skilled.

I encourage you to have a look at our thread: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/wuv/recruitment/Seeking-a-better-WvW-experience-Read-this/first
That’s a pretty hard schedule to match, as it looks like you are playing in the late “EU” time frame most nights.
Any of the top 9 servers usually has at least a token EU force.
The question is, are you looking to make more of a difference or to run with a substantially sized group?
BG and SoR have the best known EU presences, but you have to deal with lag and possible exclusivity from some of those groups.
Maguuma has a large contingent kids out for the summer (or unemployed people, they never did confirm) so plenty of people there for now. SoS has a EU timeslot commander (see our recruitment ad) with a group if you want to really make a difference.
I don’t know what T2 has at those times but they seem to generally have people on during the EU time; just no idea if it’s really organized or not.
SoR doesn’t really have issues with lag during EU, or I haven’t encountered this issues during my time playing EU*.
*I rarely play on EB, if there’s stonemist lag during that time, I wouldn’t know.

I need to throw my completely unbiased recommendation that you check out JQ as well. Many great guilds and I know more necromancers would be appreciated. Lots of fun too.
Oh… and you might get talked into having an Asura alt if you don’t have an Asura yet… you’ll understand if you choose to come here.
