[PVX] Paradox of the Arcane Sovereigns [SVGN] Growing guild looking for New/Returning/Learning/Active/Team oriented players.

Paradox of the Arcane Sovereigns is a growing guild that is looking for members that want to grow with us, both as a community and in their game skills. We specifically welcome new and returning players, and wish to help you learn at your own pace, and include you in the activities and companionship of our budding community.

Activities we currently run and/or wish to expand into are as follows:

- Fractals (Daily/Weekly lower tiers for those without AR)

- Guild Missions- Mandatory for all members!!

- Guild Events

- Map materials Farming/Event Farming

- Profession Training

- WvW Havoc/Roaming/Training (We’re a Crystal Desert focused guild)

- Raid Training – Learn the mechanics and raids in a friendly, educative, no-pressure atmosphere. No Elitism allowed here!

-PvP Training- If needed

These are what we’re building up first, and we want to build each facet properly one-at-a-time. We’ll be expanding into more areas as we grow!

We have TeamSpeak for voice communication during events and Discord for general casual text. Website sign up is mandatory as well as joining Discord/TS ( Mic not necessary). Why? Website has an application that will allow us to gauge your interest in the game/guild, Discord so we can communicate effectively through texting and TS for Voice comms during events

We have Lost Precipice Guild Hall that’s steadily growing, with our services open to all members

We’re looking for:

Members new, returning, or veteran, that want to learn the game’s mechanics together and become better players at their own speed. We don’t want people who are just numbers; this is a place for you only if you wish to be closely part of a friendly and close community. With focus on Team play and bonding, we do not care about being a large number guild, we care about our members and the activities we can do together. We try our best to plan and be more organized in what we do, and we appreciate the patience and support we get when we enter into this somewhat down phase

Available Positions

We want more officers to help with planning, growing and running the guild and its events and activities. If you want to genuinely be a major part of a growing community and to help shape it, this is the most opportunistic time to join and do so. Any one can be an officer, the idea of one not being able to due to their experience in the game is a myth to us. If you have the mindset and the proper attitude then we will train you into an officer.

We are also looking for interested Commanders to lead our raid and farming squad if needed be. We will work with those who would want but feel like they can’t.

WvW (Crystal Desert)
We are forming up our guild havoc/roaming unit for our home server. We will train members in small team fights as well as roaming, plus running with other guilds of Crystal Desert for Zerg play. we are entirely open to your personal build choices and theorycrafts. We will take it slow with new wvw members who are still figuring out what the heck is going on

Raid
We currently do our raid training on Sunday, Wednesday at 8pm central and Saturday at 10am central. We welcome any class and only require that you have the correct gears (Exotic Gears can be used) . As most of us are fairly new we enter the raid with a open mind as well as a desire to win, in a no pressure environment. As we know the rotations and the entire raid itself can be intimidating we allow members to experience them and try to learn on their own pace. A general rotation warm up is done prior to entering.

New, returning and veteran players are all welcome. We extend our arms to those near and far, and if needed be will create or adjust schedule for those of various time zones. To join, please apply through one of the methods below.

Coming back to Gw2 after a few month break. I am mostly on from 10pm-2am EST. Does the guild raid during that time? I did the first wing awhile ago and would def. want that to be my focal point in the game.

Hello,

I have a pretty large interest in your guild.

I am happy to answer more questions, but as I probably won’t be home until lateish tomorrow (8-9pm central most likely) I’ll leave some info and you can see if I mesh with the ideals.

I’m a 31 year old college student/husband/father/gamer (expecting ~2 more years to graduate with a computer science bachelors); Approximately a 15 year veteran MMO player (I played fairly cutting edge/server top 3 guilds in EQ2, RIFT, Wildstar,, Neverwinter and Ragnarok Online over the years and semi-hardcore played WoW and about 5 other MMO’s in the last 15 years.) Amongst those list are a fair few action MMO games, so although guild wars 2 is still new to me, I’m not foreign to the concept of the game style. I usually balance somewhere on a line between semi-hardcore to semi-casual as far as mentality is concerned. I’m generally a pretty chill guy, always looking to group up with friendly faces and get to know people better. My interest is primarily PVE but I don’t mind mixing it up in PVP as well. (Haven’t done any serious PVPing since Warhammer Online though)

As far as Guild Wars 2 is concerned, I am more or less a brand new player. I bought Heart of Thorns and started 12 days ago. Within the first week, I hit my first 80 toon (and level boosted a second toon as there really is only a couple classes that really interested me).

I have a Warrior & Thief. As of right now, the thief is pretty much stock level 80 token out of the box. No extra skill points in daredevil or anything. The warrior was my original character and is my main as of right now.

My warrior is wearing mostly (but not entirely) exotic items;
Full Armor Set – Exotic w/ Superior Sigil of Might (runes donated by friend)
Exotic Greatsword – Superior Sigil of Air & Force (Lightning Bolt & 5% damage)
Exotic Earrings (Level 80)
Exotic Necklace (Level 78) < Have 15 laurels, saving up for Ascended Necklace
Back / Rings are all level 80 rares.
I still haven’t really picked up an axe/mace yet as I’ve been playing primarily GS+Rifle solo up to this point. (And when I have partied up I just stick to my GS primarily and hold onto rifle to deal ranged damage when melee isn’t ideal)

As of posting this, the warrior is currently 14 skill points away from maxing out the Berserker elite specialization as well. (This has been my #1 primary goal since hitting 80 .. kind of paired with HoT story progression to gain necessary masteries for HoT. I have Gliding 2, exalted markings, bounce shrooms and i’m currently working towards Nuhloch tunnels)
