About Overthrow:

Overthrow is currently rebuilding and recruiting players for Raid. We expect people with reasonable temper and skill level to clear the boss. We don’t have static or we intend to make one, however we are aiming for one shot kills for weekly. As we get better with each other we will try new tactics or low-manning bosses.

Requirements:

Must show up for raid
Two fully ascended “main” characters
Teamspeak with a headset & mic
Strong sense of teamwork
Works well with a team
Positive attitude
Has patience

Our Current Raid time:

*Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Sunday
We are aiming for weekly clears and Sunday raid is aimed for those who missed the weekday raid.

We are not an LFG guild and we want to know each member for synergy and community.

I’m an experienced GW2 player returning from an extended break but would like to join a guild to begin raiding. I’m not full ascended now, but I wouldn’t mind joining in a casual capacity and get to know everyone until I am properly geared.

I’ve raided in a competitive atmosphere for around 5 years and I’m a very consistent and dedicated player.

I consider myself a strong raider, and I have 5 classes geared for raiding. I however have never been part of a strong raiding group, and most of my experience has been with a casual guild or with pugs. I’ve never killed Sabetha before, but I clear VG and Gors every week. I know I definitely have what it takes to fit into your group, but due to this, I don’t have the experience that I think you deserve in a raider. How might I be able to fit into your group? Do you do non-progression runs where you end up filling in a few spots, and might I be able to raid along with you guys for such a run? I’d just really like to get a few sab kills under my belt to overcome the “eternal or bust” mentality that most strong raiding groups have. I’m definitely not saying “hey guys, please carry me through eternal”. I definitely pull my own weight, and given the chance, I will prove so. It just gets very disheartening when any group I’m “allowed” in wipes around me before I even have a chance to fail. I very much desire to push myself and see what I’m actually capable of, and I need a group of people I can do that with.

Hey thanks for taking a look at our post. I will soon contact you in game via whisper/mail, but if you do feel like you are capable of what you said then feel free to apply first and show us video/stream etc of what you can do. It seems like you have a positive attitude so that is definitely a plus, and I agree having eternal title and killing bosses in pugging don’t exactly correlate with a person’s skill after certain threshold. We will be definitely interested in seeing you if you believe you are capable of becoming a better player over all.

With second wing supposedly coming in late February~March we are looking for dedicated raid members for progression. Must be willing to practice and open to innovative tactics for upcoming raid!
