Play Type Preference: PvE, possibly WvW
– As for PvP – not usually big on that though I may do it now and again. Especially if it’s a group type PvP deal and a guildee needs someone to fill in.

Player Style: Casual (mostly due to RL), otherwise I would more say Semi-Hardcore

Active Time: Varies. Either early afternoon or early evening (MST); and hours on varies as well.

Voice preference: Only if absolutely necessary. Not a fan of using voice.

I’m a long time on again/off again average gamer. I have my competitive moments but I more appreciate having fun and a good laugh. I tend to be goofy, gutterminded, and don’t mind helping others out.

I am a brand new player and with that said, full disclosure: I used the max level boost that I got for getting HoT.

Now before I get posts telling me “wrong move,”…typically I would agree with you and the overall consensus for having a new player hold off on doing that.

BUT, my decision wasn’t made willy-nilly (yep, I totally just said willy-nilly :P) and for me I felt that this was the right move. And although I did use it, I’m still going through the quests just as if I hadn’t. So no worries about a noob running around in the higher levels getting everyone killed

Since I’m new AND haven’t been playing MMOs in awhile, I come with the added bonus of me asking weird questions; doing awkward moves in game that might cause a head tilt as you watch the screen; falling off various edges – be they cliff or roof; and possible random weird stories. Like how I also keep falling off edges, a.k.a sidewalks, in RL.

*What I’m Looking for in a Guild: *

- 18+ only
– Drama Free
– Casual with flexible reqs (i.e. doesn’t require daily log ins and won’t flip out if RL comes up and I can’t log in multiple times a week now and again)
– Is willing to mentor/help me a bit with understanding the game or even running certain scenarios with me.
– A guild who is interested in adding me as a player. Not because they need the body count. In other words, a “social guild.” The last place I’d want to end up is one where no one talks to each other except to ask for help doing a run.
– Wouldn’t mind a guild that participates or includes a bit of RP. But it’s not a “must have” as I can just hang out in TC and find groups for that if I’m that hard up. Then again, if it is an RP guild, I hope there is a channel for OOC because being in character all the time would get a bit tedious for me.

From The Ashes Risen [FENX] is a Primarily PvE/PvX Guild, very casual, active, Friendly and Helpful. We Welcome People from ALL SERVERS to join us and we are female friendly And LGBT Friendly. One of the main things we realize is that this is just a game and real life comes first. So, if you need time away from the guild. Don’t worry we will be here waiting.

• If your going to be gone over 3 months please let us know so we can put you on the inactive list so you don’t get removed from the guild.

• We are a close knit group. Like a family.
  It has taken a great deal of work to keep us with that small guild feeling. No one is a number in this guild. We have an active guild chat and of course we encourage all members to join us on TS3 this is the best place to come to ask for assistance.
  We also encourage our members to make their own events and list them on the calendar for all to see and participate in.

• We do a little of everything that includes Fractals/Dungeons/World Bosses etc.

• We have Guild Missions/Guild Events most nights.

• We are currently in the process of switching WvW servers (more later)

• We have TS and a “Fully upgraded” PVP arena in the level 69 Guild Hall.

• We have a separate PVP arena outside of the guild.

• We are currently a medium sized, but helpful guild.

• We have a few members who do continue to also play Guild Wars 1.

• We are seeking people for all time zones. Remember we are on NA servers.

We were first dreamed up over 10 years ago during the blissful days of Guild Wars 1. We have since carried our belief of being a guild for the members. We brought with us our spirit and the desires of helping those who we battle with side by side everyday in the game. Now, we have endured mainly do the fact we don’t try to force anyone to play the game a certain way. We believe in playing Guild Wars 2 with our companions and having fun and enjoyment for all.

We are a casual guild and those who run with us are our friends not just members on a roster. Our acceptance of all people remain our shining glory. We only have one requirement that you have fun in the game and do it with all of us.
