Summary
Xunlai Heroic Service Agents are seeking players that value community but also have a strong focus and ability in end game content such as raids and fractals. We are a 12 year running guild with a solid record of recruiting people that are active, committed to our community, and foster the talent to tackle the most difficult content Anet has put forward.
Since the release of raids XHSA has developed on a content focus that is almost exclusively focused on raids, high end fractals, and any difficult high end content the game puts forward. While our focus has become more refined on end game, we still hold community and the quality of our membership as our primary goal.
We are most active in the evening in American Time zones. XHSA keeps our roster capped at 200 members as to be small enough to foster environment where people become friends and to be large enough to be able to tackle any challenge that the content presents. We take pride in having standards in our recruitment to ensure, when anyone enters the guild, that they will find a roster of active, committed, and skilled players to enjoy their Guild Wars 2 experience with.
Why join XHSA over other guilds
What XHSA offers is a quality, active, and long lasting guild experience that is unlike your common “pack the roster with as many bodies as possible” guilds. Very few guilds have been around and long as us and have our level of commitment to quality. Our guild has been around for over a decade because of our focus on people and community while being able to attract and produce the talent to conquer any challenge that arises in content.
Not only will you find players capable of comfortably completing challenging content on a regular basis. Here you will also find a welcoming community to enjoy your gaming experience with. One that has taken some time to know you, even before we have sent an invite.
We don’t believe in spam recruiting, blind invites, or throwing cookie cutter recruitment messages at people’s posts. We get to know you as a person and learn your interests before taking you on to ensure we can offer you a quality experience. People will know who you are and ready to receive when you join because the entire guild views and chooses applicants. You will find that our standards and ideals translate in the quality of our members and the activity of our community.
Many people here were complete strangers when they joined and have formed lasting friendships with players they have overcome the most difficult content the game has to offer with. We want that for every member that joins us and do our best to help you become successful as a player.
What does quality mean to XHSA
Let it be said, we realize XHSA might not be for everyone as we adhere to our standards of quality pretty harshly and not everyone can provide the level of commitment to the guild we ask. We have about 50 people apply to XHSA monthly and accept under 20% of those applicants. Below are some of the things we look for in our members
Firstly, members here at XHSA firstly must be able to participate at a end game level. We have found recruiting people that can not, often get left behind and quit the game. The vast majority of members are expected to have 150 AR on one character, most will have multiple. Those that are raiders should have at least some experience and have multiple roles they can fill to be included in our experienced raiding pool that includes full clear static teams and raid achievement runs.
Second, members recruited to XHSA hold the idea and concept of community highly in their priorities. XHSA is the main guild and home to all of it’s members and represent it in a manner that reflects that. Members that are looking to get socially involved in a community are usually ones that also have high participation and activity. We do not retain people on our roster that do not, as we feel they would reflect poorly on the quality of our membership and discourage others from committing to the community.
Third, while we might sound serious in our focus and our commitment to community, we never forget this is a video game. Members are fun loving people and respectful people. While we joke around and poke fun at people we do not tolerate raging or comments intended demean and insult others personally. People here are social, respectful, and light hearted. Most importantly all know that we play this game to have fun and unwind from reality for a few hours.
