Hello GW2

I am returning to the mmo-rpg online game world hoping for this game to take the wheel once i seen this game i wanted to jump right into this game and play way before i knew all of the features in the game.
first time in a Long Long time i have been this excited about a mmo.
Here is some background/info about my gaming history.

World Of Warcraft
Started playing when the Wrath of The Lich King Expansion hit played and main a rogue class for bout 5 years.
then slowed down started levelling alts. slowed down after each xpac to the point of just dropping the game entirely after 7 years.


Star Wars The Old Republic
Got into the closed beta on this one while slowing down on the World Of Warcraft game. played the entire beta/weekend Betas. Never reached end game just some PVP n stuff before level 20.

Rift
Closed beta/head start player. Played a rogue to end game did alot of PVP and casual on the raids. quit before the xpac came out. came back levelled to 70 and mostly did PvP some end game dungeons. No 70 Raids. Played before free to play was ever introduced.

My Preferred Guild


Active/Guild Teamwork
A active guild for the most part what most of the players would want. Guild dungeons/Raids/PvP Ect. I had my fill with 100+/200+ Guilds that don’t do anything together and just sit there looking for stuff to do with 75 others looking and somehow don’t get a clue to “HEY” why don’t we just form something since we got half the guild looking everywhere else instead of there own guild there in.


All Around Play Style Guild
All around play style as in a guild that has members in different or all ways of playing the game. Of course i understand some guilds strictly on a “RAIDING ONLY” and “PVP ONLY” perfectly fine, but for once in my years of mmo play i really want to get into all of the aspects of the game instead of having to be jumping from PVP only to PVE only guilds when i can just put all my work n time into 1 guild that just has players that do PVE to PVP to just messing around.

Heya, Method! That’s a pretty extensive MMO history. =) I’ve played a few of those games (WoW, TERA, Rift, FFXIV: ARR), although most only briefly. It’s awesome that you’re giving GW2 a try now.

From what you described about what you’re looking for in a guild (teamwork, regular activity, acceptance of personal playstyles, a broad interest in all areas of the game), I really think you’d like being in my guild, Ember Solace.

We’re a small-ish guild (58 members) PvX guild on Tarnished Coast, and we do a little bit of everything. Our PvE Officer schedules regular dungeons, our PvE Assistants do regular Fractals (including teaching modes to explain everything), and our PvP Officer does Edge of the Mists and sPvP regularly, including Friday Night Fights (tPvP). Plus, our members love grouping up together to explore new zones, unlock Grandmaster traits, and generally just have fun. =)

We cultivate a very respectful atmosphere, where people treat each other well and form caring friendships. We do have people from other servers in the guild, and they guest over to Tarnished Coast for things like Guild Missions or just to hang out, so it’s okay if you’re not on TC.

If you register on our forums, you can get read-access to our GW2 section, so you can get a feel for our community and the types of events we normally hold. Just take it with a grain of salt for this week, because Jess (our PvE officer) has been on a Leave of Absence to handle some family stuff, so our PvE events are more spur-of-the-moment.
