Guild Wars 2

Hi there, I’m a new GW2 player, I started just 10 days ago but I would like to find an experienced guild for HoT release.

Why am I looking for a top guild if I am a noob on gw2?
I am a min-maxer, in every game I play I try to be at the top, putting much effort in training and theorycrafting.

My MMO career is not very vast, I played WoW vanilla and TBC, mostly in PvP and recently I played ESO at the release.
In WoW I achieved gladiator rank in every season I played while in ESO I was at the top of the leaderboard both in PvE and PvP.

As I said before I “tryhard” in every game I play; recently I was at the top of the ladder in the last hardcore league of Path of Exile (if you are familiar with the game you know how much effort and dedication it needs).
I was playing SC2 and then HS at very high level.

I just started playing GW2 but I fell in love with the game and I’m sure I will play it a lot.
In my first week I red many guides and learnt many things on the craft/itemization/world/equip/abilities/builds etc…

I did lvl 80 on an Elementalist and now I’m doing many sPvP games with all classes to learn all the mecchanic and skills.

Right now my equip is pretty bad, full zerk exotic and I’m collecting some ascended boxes for when I will chose my class^^

I started to do some dungeons and fractals, it is a pain with pug but it is normal to start there
I saw people wanted to kick me cause of low AP and then fail at every kittening supermariostyle minigames in the fractlas, I was disturbed by the inability of some players to do such easy things, not sure if they were playing on a tablet….

I would like to find an experienced guild for the release of HoT, for the end of October I will be able to have full Ascended gear with different weapons/sigils with enough AR etc.. and also learning all the mecchanic the game can offer, sPvP is great for that cause I can create characters with full traits and skills.

In more than one month I’m sure that I will be able to learn every dungeons and fractals, probably it will be hard to hit lvl 50 fractal but I see what I can do!

I’m from Italy and I’m 26yo, “unfortunately” right now I work but I can play almost every evening from 7pm to 1am and in the weekend 8-12h per day :V
When I play I am always present on TS!

Probably no top guilds want to take a noob who needs to learn a lot of the game but trying to find one while learning this beautiful game is a start for me^^

Hardcore PvE guilds don’t teach, they only want to add who are already experienced everything in PvE. And of course no one will wait till you raise your fractal level and get ascended gear. Most of ’em require at least 2-3 classes mastered. I suggest not to be hasty about hardcore guild to learn all advanced mechanics and watch streams/world records.

I played WotLK and Cata at WoW but quited because the other expansions were a joke. I’m not sure if you’d really play a lot in this game because TBC and Vanilla taste is different than GW2. Once you’ll master most of the classes and do dungeons in 5 minutes more or less you’ll find the PvE system is a joke and maybe you’ll put more effort in the future raids which no one knows the real difficulty yet.
