Guild Wars 2

Hi everyone!

I’m currently installing GW2 as we speak so I will start playing in probably less than an hour . And because playing on your own isn’t nearly as much fun as playing with a guild full of lovely people I thought I’d try this and see if there would be any guilds that would like to have me on board.

Some info about myself:

My name is Kevin, i’m 21 years old and I’m from The Netherlands.
I started playing GW1 since launch and have played through all of the campaigns multiple times. I just absolutely loved it.
Now I’ve finally decided to give GW2 a go and I’m expecting to fall in love with it all over again. And especially now that the summer is coming up I just need something to keep me occupied haha.

I’m a very social, friendly and mature kind of guy and I love joking around. I also don’t mind helping others whenever that is needed.
I’m also a huge music lover. I’ve got a huge collection of vinyl records and I also work in a record store here in Rotterdam.

The main thing I’m looking for in a guild is basically just being able to have fun with eachother as a group and helping eachother out when needed. I absolutely hate it when guilds take things way to serious and get kitten ed off about every little thing, or just say “check the wiki” everytime you ask a question.

But yeah, that’s about it I think! I hope this gave you an idea of what I’m like and what I’m looking for.

Hey Kevin! Welcome to GW2! The game is awesome, and there are many great communities around. If you played GW1 I’m sure you know this.

My guild is unfortunately an EST guild and so we are probably not online during your times. Unless you start playing at 3 AM. However, I am sure some EU recruiters will be around soon enough. Have fun making your first character!

My names Nathan, I represent a very small guild of people who just like to play GW2. We don’t have a website so I can’t point you in that direction, we don’t have a voice chat server either. If you’re looking for one of those large sophisticated guilds that is organised then run for the hills because that’s just not us.

If however, you’re looking for a small guild of 8 or so people who have all gotten to know each other through gaming, who are the type of people who have added each other on Facebook and do Dungeons via skype then we’re your guys! (and girl)…

If you like getting to know people personally, laughing at your guildies on skype as the couple falls out over who’s turn it is to get the coke whilst the Asura is busy rezzing an NPC instead of a fallen guildy then you’ll defo fit in. We do Dungeons, we do PvE Events, we do WvW and we do PvP!! We do everything together as a group – And just because we’re small doesn’t mean we don’t have everything every other guild has. That’s the great thing about GW2 most content is centred around a group of 5 so we don’t miss out on anything a large guild does! We have been playing from the start of GW2 and have practically all the guild buffs unlocked, so have no fear there either!

Seriously – if you’re looking for fun, give us a chance! You never know, you might just like it ^^

I do have a question though. Because the thing is, at the moment I don’t have a working headset with mic, so unfortunately I won’t be able to join you guys on Skype. Would that be a problem you think?

Could you maybe give me the name of your character or something so that I can contact you in game? I’ve also chosen Desolation as my home world, however I do still need to create a character. (That always takes ages with me)

Of course you don’t have to join us on skype. Forcing people to do that sounds like to much of a rule and hassle for us. You’ll be at a disadvantage of course, not joining in on the hilarity that is us, so I would suggest getting a new headset soon just so you can join in!

But no, we’re quite happy to just type in guild and party with you. Although saying that I must warn you, don’t expect back up in PvP as quickly as you would if you were screaming on skype that a thief jumped you. :P

I’m the leader of an EU guild that was first formed in 2005, in SWG, Sea of Sorrows Desperadoes. We still have members who joined us back then and we also welcome new players.

We are on Piken Square, the unofficial EU RP server which is active and even in the most remote areas, you will bump into other players. We are most active in PvE and RP, we do accept non-RPers, though.

Our members are over 21, have families, careers and other commitments, so we accept that players can’t always be online. We also realise that members don’t necessarily have time to grind for the best gear and we have a policy of taking any guild members to any dungeon, providing they aren’t gated.

We also accept that members can’t spend hours and hours online, so we have no rigid rules regarding attendance for raids etc. We are here to have fun and that’s exactly what I want my members to have.

I don’t know if you have already found guild, but I would recommend Pandion Knights, guild currently playing on Seafarer’s Rest. We are mature, casual and friendly guild. We often do dungeons, fractals and some of us like to do wvw too. We have guild events and we do guild missions. There are lot of new players joining constantly our ranks. We are really nice bunch of players, we are open to help anybody, you just need to ask.
