Guild Wars 2

I played for a few months when GW2 was released, but was also playing EQ2 and SWTOR. Now I am just raiding 2 nights a week in EQ2 and am getting back into GW2 for my off nights. I was in Applied Tactics at release on Dragonbrand, but they jumped servers shortly after the first WvW rankings came out. My son has been playing my original account so I will be starting fresh and have no server preferences and would like to find a guild to join that runs dungeons mostly. As I do not have any dungeon experience, I guess I don’t mind speed clears as long as strats are explained. Metagame playing maybe eventually, but looking for more of a mature, laid back, family style guild. Again, server does not matter and I would be willing to rep 100%.

Hiya, Dave! Welcome back to GW2! There have been a lot of fun, new things added while you’ve been gone, and we’d love to show you around. =) My guild, Ember Solace, is a friendly, casual PvX guild on Tarnished Coast. We do mostly PvE, with some sPvP and WvW in the mix, too. Our guildmates are very kind and close-knit because we genuinely care about each other. We have the highest activity during afternoon to late-night times, EDT, and we do both scheduled and spontaneous events.

That way you can see our GW2 sections and read over our guidelines, called the Purpose & Principles, plus you can see the types of events we tend to do and get a feel for how we interact with each other. =) We do have a brief application, but it’s pretty short and mainly designed to help us keep the guild friendly and laid-back. I just ran across your post and I thought I’d tell you a little about [OSD] Order of the Silver Dragons. First of all, we’re a multi-winged gaming guild that’s been around since 2006. Since you also play EQ2 and SWTOR, if you were to join us here in GW2 you also would have access to our groups in those games as well… in case you’re looking for a guild or even an extra party member.

To tell you a little about us, we currently have a little over 60 members who mostly play during the North American prime time in the evenings and on weekends. We do ask that members represent the guild 100% but do allow folks to have personal guilds for guild bank purposes. We also ask that members treat each other with respect. Other than that we’re a laid back, family style guild who understands that folks work, have children, and a life outside of the game.

We do have folks that love to run dungeons and fractals of the mists who can easily explain the mechanics of the fights if you’re new. We also have all the guild missions unlocked and starting next week we will start spreading them out throughout the week (we used to run them all on Sat night, but it starts to become a big time commitment so we’re going to try spacing them out throughout the week to see how that works for everyone). Once the new Living Story kicks off, we’re going to be doing guild group runs of those events so everyone has a group to do the latest content with.
