Guild Wars 2

So I just bought this game as a complete impulse purchase four days ago, so I’ve just been playing without really knowing what I’m supposed to be doing…

I’m looking for a guild to join because I figure this game is a lot more fun to play with other people :)
I’d preferably want it to be smaller and relatively casual, since for me games are as much about making friends as they are about having fun or being good. I’m obviously focused on PvE right now, so it’d be nice to have people to do that with. Voice communication is always cool.

I’m an 18/F online mainly from the afternoons to late at night, provided that college work doesn’t get in the way. I haven’t really played MMO’s before this, (mainly just RTS, MOBA, or platformers) so I’m pretty clueless in this regard. Right now I’m a level 21 thief. It’d be great to have people teach me builds and other stuff I should know.

We respect each other and have a great community. We do WvW, PVE, dungeons, and guild missions. We are an active and friendly guild. On the website you can see the regularly scheduled events and there are usually guildies doing dungeons etc. (They are doing an Arah run right now). The members are very helpful and (as I have found) patient (I don’t do so well at jumping puzzles). I might be able to help with what you’re looking for. My guild is called The Gryphons Aerie and we’re a smaller, casual yet social, 18+ PvE/RP family on Tarnished Coast. Some of our members also enjoy WvsW/sPvP and we do have our own arena. We also have a variety of member-hosted events that change every week.

We know that RL comes first and stress that fact. We’ll still be there even if you can’t for a bit of time.

We are focused on providing a place where people can feel comfortable and as though they are more than just a name on the roster. We want everyone to feel like family. We’re willing to help out with any and all questions as best as we can. Knowledge of and/ or participation in RP is not required. We’ll teach you if you want to learn, but there’s no pressure.

Don’t worry about trying to transfer right away or even at all if you’re not on Tarnished Coast (unless you’re on an EU server, then it gets complicated). Feel free to guest with us as long as you want. You’ll still be able to join with us for dungeons and even Fractals (which I will be more than happy to teach). if you decide you want to transfer, we’ll help you get the funds you need to do so.

There is also no requirement to be representing us at all times. It’s not our business to tell you who you can and cannot associate with; that choice is yours alone. All we ask is that you give us some time too.

We also have a TeamSpeak 3, but it’s use is on a purely optional basis. Most of our chatter is on the guild channel.
