Guild Wars 2

Hey all!

So the title may be a bit misleading. I played Guild Wars 2 at launch for about 2 months and at the time the game was not really for me. After trying a multitude of MMO’s that have come out over the past 2 years I think I solved my problem. I play World of Warcraft and raid with my guild, whenever I tried a new MMO I was looking for a replacement for WoW. Then it dawned on me, I tried treating Guild Wars 2 as a WoW replacement when it’s not meant to be (in my case).

Sorry if the above paragraph was a little random, but I like to give as much information about whats going on with my mmo life!

With all that being said, I last played at launch for about 2 months. Reinstalled the game and I am totally overwhelmed with almost everything, so many new features! I’ll give a short list of the type of guild that I think I would feel best suited in.

- My character is on Yak’s Bend (not sure if it matters because I think I heard about..mega servers? or something like it) I am not opposed to server transferring.

- I do still casually raid with my WoW guild, mainly on tuesday/thursday nights if this affects anything at all.

- I consider myself on the casual side of playing GW2, I may play 7 hours a day or I may not play for a day. I’m taking my time so I don’t get burnt out on the game like with other games in the past.

- I’d prefer a guild of people who don’t mind “new player questions”

- I like the idea of scheduled events, it helps me remember when I should log into the game. I think I remember some guild events in PvE? But I honestly do not remember

- Right now I prefer the PvE side of things, but I really do not have much experience doing WvWvW and would love to try it out with a group of people. I’m not incredibly fond of the competitive small scale PvP.

- I am only level 26 necromancer but I am leveling fast.

The League of Valkyries (Yak’s Bend) is recruiting active players for PvX activities. We are based in several different timezones due to having an array of players from all over the world.

Although a small guild. we are extremely active and helpful and intend on getting the most out of the playtime we get – We cover:

WvW (Havoking/Roaming)
Fractals
Dungeons
General PvE
PvP (Both ranked and Unranked)

We have Raidcall and generally use that in terms of communication.

We are looking for active, friendly players that aren’t easily offended by any form of humor and we are accepting both new comers and veterans, our only requirement is 100% rep and that you’re active.

Reapers of Corvus (RoC) could be a good fit for you. We are a small EU guild on Seafarer’s Rest looking to expand, but only just so we have enough to do Guild Missions and not have to pug fractals and dungeons. Our minimum age requirement is 21 years old +. We are all pretty busy in real life so when we do log in, we want to have fun while gettin’ stuff done!

We don’t require 100% rep (GW2 was built for rep’ing multiple guilds) so if you want to try out WvW or PvP with other guilds, we don’t mind. We only ask that if you are doing PvE stuff to rep us when possible.

I could always interest you in a spot in Wizened Wizards [WISE] guild. =)

We are a PvX casual, yet structured, guild who wants to try to take part in all aspects that GW2 has to offer. Although we are a guild with growing numbers, we take more accustomed to the phrase ‘quality over quantity’, and that’s what we intend to do.

Being a casual guild, I have my rule of never removing one for inactivity; play at your leisure. Although I cannot assure you that you may/may not see many on at your time (especially with some schoolers/workers in the guild), we will definitely be on to have a great time with you!

Being a structured guild, while we don’t necessarily have a rep requirement as you join, we do keep an eye on this based to on our rank system, basically showing your loyalty/commitment to our guild, while always having fun with the other guilds.
