Guild Wars 2

[Orr] is a new guild, and as I post this roster consists only 7 members. But we all know that every guild has to start somewhere, or there wouldn’t be any guilds.

My motivation for starting this guild, after running enough dungeon paths with parties found through LFG, is that I came to realize that nobody actually knows or even cares to know the players they are with. And, while some of these players were actually very nice, they didn’t seem remotely interested in forming any relationship with myself or other players in the party (despite my efforts).

To me, groups like these feel empty, as if gold were the only thing in this game that mattered. Maybe it does to some, but this “kthxbai” idealism is not one I share.

The goals I have for this guild is to form a kind of clique, if you will, for members to be able to return players or groups they liked for more than just a set of daily dungeons. Member familiarity is what makes a party strong, as well as a guild which allows for better coordination and less empty feelings while playing.

What we offer:

• We promote member loyalty. Lasting and quality members will be ranked and privileged accordingly. All new members near the start of [Orr] will be given a semi-advanced rank, as is fair when asking members to stay with and represent a new guild.

• Obviously, we offer dungeons. As indicated by my heart-to-heart.

• We also aim to create a presence in WvW. It makes sense to have members from similar servers anyway, as it builds influence. We do not require that members be from one of our hub servers, but [Orr] is based on Yak’s Bend and Blackgate for those purposes.

• We are currently on a path to researching guild missions, that is one of the major things we hope to achieve as a guild. Guild missions would be held bi-weekly
  (once by each of our hub servers).

• We hope to offer utilities for the guild, such as TeamSpeak, a guild website, etc. Currently, we do not have these, but they are a work-in-progress and something that will definitely be available for our members in the future.
