Log on and wonder where your guild went? New to the game and need someone to show you the ropes? Want some cool people to game with? Check out the PSC guild!
“Hey, so what does PSC stand for anyway?”
“I dunno… probably something corny .”
We have been around for quite awhile. We started back in 2001 on a game called Phantasy Star Online. Guild Wars came out in 2005 and quickly became PSC’s new home. When Guild Wars 2 hit the scene our leader brought PSC over right away (he actually started playing in beta). Originally PSC was known as Phantom Strikeforce Clan, but as the guild evolved and the roster changed a bit over the years we decided the name needed to be updated to better reflect our collective personalities. After many ridiculous suggestions we settled on Probably Something Corny. We are silly, social and really like each other’s company. Gaming together for over 10 years should demonstrate how tight knit we’ve become. However, we are not cliquish and always welcome new members with enthusiasm.
We primarily play during NA time, but are international and welcome Oceanic and Euro players to keep the current ones we have company.
What members can expect from PSC:
Player support – From level 1 to level 80 we have our members’ backs. Whether they need help completing a personal story mission or doing dungeon runs for that armor set they really really want we’ll do what we can to make it happen.
Guild events – We get together every Sunday for guild bounty runs and are currently working out a regular schedule for other types of guild missions as well. We have little events from time to time just for the fun of it. We may have something like a private PvP arena for the month where we can spar for the heck of it or help each other come up with some kick [booty] builds.
PvX – No matter what type of play you are into there will be someone in the guild to game with if you want the company. We do it all. We have boss chasers, dungeon grinders, WvW enthusiasts, PvPers and members who are divas that just like to make their characters look cool.
Comraderie – We are a friendly bunch who truly enjoy gaming together. Whether having joined 10 years ago or 2 months ago one of the things we hear from members is how much we feel like an online family instead of just a random bunch of strangers in a video game.
Communication – We have an active website (PSC Guild) where we post guild and game news and updates. There are forums and a gallery for members to share their screen shots, builds, or random ideas. Feel free to check it out! We also have a Mumble channel that we frequently use for dungeon runs and other events.
What PSC expects from members:
Be active – We understand life happens and don’t expect members to game 24/7. Some of our members are military or students so we don’t have an attendance requirement, but at this time we are looking for members who will log in on a regular basis.
Don’t be a jerk – Members should be respectful to fellow guildies and shelve the drama. It’s ok to have a bad day and need to vent, but being abusive to other members or disrupting the guild will be addressed and dealt with.
If you are interested in becoming a member of PSC you can apply on our website or send a whisper to our leader Lan Mondragoran.
