High:
Mag 8

Medium:
BP 14

Server population certainly matters, as Full servers cant be transferred to.

Population by itself certainly not (as seen in GoM). But population and rank together gives a decent idea on what that server is about.

For example GoM is probably a pve focused server.

I call bullkitten on BP being medium.. I’ll just use SF as an example they are “High population” BP will swallow them up..

BP is medium, this does not mean WVW population, its server population, BP costs 500 gems to transfer, and its higher ranked in WvW then some of the very high even.

Borlis Pass has a teamspeak that all guilds are currently in, and during the last reset we hit a high of 337 users in our teamspeak (id like to see any server match that)

I think this thread is very helpful for users wishing to transfer or re-roll. I wish I would of found it when I re-rolled honestly.

Funny that some people are getting very defensive about the list though :O

Being on GoM, I can say that size doesn’t matter. We’re rank 19 and full of hardcore PvErs.

SOR TS routinely has 350+ users on at the same time almost every night, and it is one of the most active TS servers in the world.
