Guild Wars 2

We are an active tight knit community that is working towards exceptional performance in both structured PvP, GvG, and WvW. We have an established core of some fantastic players and experienced leadership that is willing to teach and grow members. We are a Jade Quarry based guild and are looking to expand our ranks.

Mission Statement: [RISE] is a guild of players who play Guild Wars 2. [RISE]’s goal is to become a close knit community of like minded individuals who strive to succeed and be the best in all aspects of WvW, GvG, and PvP.

Guild Tenants (How to BE NO EGO)

- Be Humble. Understand you are a (small) part of the world. Service and patience should be top priorities.
- Be Teachable. Focus on what you can learn, rather than showing what you know. Much of what you know began with the work of someone else.
- Listen More. Make every effort to truly understand what others are saying (beyond just words). Allow a gap of silence before responding. Ask questions (and listen, again).
- Appreciate People. Enjoy others’ contributions. Don’t squelch ideas or defend territory. Encourage more.
- Relax. Let go of the need to be right or win every time.

Guild Structure
I. Guild Leader– The head of the council. This individual holds veto power over the council and guides and directs the guild to achieve its goals, grow, and succeed.
II. High Officials – 3 Officers comprise the council. Each responsible for an aspect of the guild but collectively share all responsibilities. They are a team and work together to lead the guild with the Guild Master.
III. Core – Guild Core are members who have proven themselves to be dedicated members of [RISE]. They actively participate in game, team speak, and the website. These members have shown excellence in the game and strive to better themselves and the [RISE] Community.
IV. Recruit – New members in [RISE] are placed in the Recruit rank. These members stay at this rank during their 2 week evaluation period. Members may be returned to this rank for under-performance, misbehavior, or inactivity.

Guild Member Expectations

• BE NO EGO (See guild tenants above.)
• Be Knowledgeable – Don’t expect people to hold your hand through the game. Do research, understand your class and role, what gear is best, what builds are good. It is your responsibility to understand your character and the game. Don’t make us google for you.
• Be Prepared – Be on time and ready to go with the correct build, consumables, and attitude when participating in guild events.
• Contribute – Be active and participate in guild events and the community in a positive mature way.
• Have Fun – We are all here to have fun, if you are not lets stop that and figure out how to change that.
• Zero Drama – We have no tolerance for drama. Period.
• Be a Team Player – Run the guild builds, be willing to work with everyone, and do what is expected of you.
