The truth about Ring of Fire:
As the game launched, Ring of Fire was some kind of unofficial spvp server. At least what I have heard.
Later, when spvp was mostly abbandoned, players and guilds decided that they need to work together more.
So the first attempt to create community of guilds was made.
Then some guilds and plyers left and community was abbandoned too.
Next attempt was made by the rest of rof players. And that attempt failed too.
Now why those attempts failed? Mostly because of coverage. As you all know, gw2 is a game of coverage, and if server dont have enought players he cannot compete with “higher ranks”. But we, players from Ring of Fire, have a bit of server pride and we kept fighting and trying.
For now, the last and third attempt for community was made and seems like it is succesfull.
Community now is not only WvW oriented, but also pve oriented.
PvE guilds are trying every week to slay Tequatl, and mostly manage to kill him. Now we are looking forward new world boss as we will try to kill him as the first server. If we succed or not, that depends just on luck.
But WvW part is a little tricky. We have several wvw guilds that were outshined by guilds that already left our server. Guilds like FSS,CC,ita, ARMA,WAR … are really doing great job to keep our server with current rank.
So RoF have a population of great people that manage to hold server with current rank, but what now?
The answer is easy. We want simple thing, and that is to kill our enemies and gain more points than them.
So accomplished this plan we need to get more people to WvW. Everybody here is playing on some server, and knows that getting pve players to wvw and than to join a wvw guild or make some wvw guild, that is very difficult and a long-term goal.
Dont be fooled, we are working on it, but its going really slow.
In past weeks some guilds left our server. TaG and DBG for example.Strong guilds. But you can see the difference those guilds made on our server by browsing this page on Mos millenium that we suffered a loss in points between week 52 and 01, but not major loss.
So overall our Ring of Fire players are doing great job.
But we really need more people, mostly eu night time players, but even eu prime time will be great.
What can we offer?
-friendly guilds in community and out of community
- queue mostly only in prime time on home borderland when it is under massive attack
- community page and teamspeak
-opportunity for your guild to make a huge impact on server, even one guild with 30 wvw players will make a huge impact, more guilds will make our server to boost up with points
- no bandwagoners, mostly all players are originally from RoF, so we cannot do worse than now,just better
