Hi,

[SE] Side Effect is a WvW guild located in Darkhaven. Due to the vast numbers of pver’s in this server, we have decided to transfer to a more WvW oriented server. With the amount of players in this server, I must say we will not be able to receive any transfers from any other servers. Therefore, we have looked at our options and decided that this should be the best route.

What we look for

T4-T7 Server
High Population
Decent Oceanic Crew
Females to talk to
Server that will be willing to donate gold to help some of my less fortunate guild members who are looking to transfer. The majority of us already have the sufficient funds to move anytime.

What we can offer

An all around WvW crew throughout the day. We have players playing from morning till night.
We bring an organized group of WvW’ers ranging from 30-60 any given day of the week.
We like to zerg bust during the week in Eternal Battlegrounds.
We can rally for any attack on home borderland permitting that I am online.

In the last 2 days, so far I have over 90 members confirmed ready to transfer and many more to come.

I got so much respect for SE, i remember leading a large well disciplined pug zerg in EB getting wiped by SE with ease and they were outnumbered.

Banzie summed us up pretty good, IoJ would be pretty darn beast with you guys around XD

Oh and theres no pressure to our wvw guilds, our pugs help a lot when its needed

IoJ is a “high” population server so we’ve definitely got some growing room

Hopefully you’ve viewed our full recruitment thread, and I know I’ve talked to you via PM as well. End your search at SBI, you can start playing WvW for long hours because you are having fun, not because you have to. The guilds and community you would be joining already respect you from our encounters during your time on Darkhaven, and would love working with you to strengthen the already strongest community in the NA server group.

For months, the community was used to fighting outnumbered and without dedicated WvW guilds, now that we have them, we have the same level of tenacity, just more firepower. Join SBI, it isn’t just another server, it’s home.

If you are deadset on T4 or lower I say go with IoJ or SBI.

If you are open to broadening your search, SoS in T3 is always looking for more; but we don’t directly donate gold for transfers (we’ll gladly assist in farming and sharing Guild Missions while you rebuild here).

I think you meant SoS could use NA. And I agree. SoS has enough oceanic and SEA to compete with anybody below T2. A little more NA could really help SoS.

Maguuma already has a good amount of NA. In fact, Maguuma probably has the most NA in T3 and below.

You guys should seriously consider SoS. They need the coverage, and you would have a nice challenge facing servers as high as T2.

I just want to clear something up, SoS’s NA coverage is in no way shape or form low or bad. our NA coverage is pretty strong (much stronger then Ioj’s and Darkhaven’s) it’s just that relative to our oceanic,Eu and SEA coverage we should have a much stronger NA coverage.

With your numbers, you really ought to be looking at T2-4 for good fights.

Why it’s silly we don’t need to blurt out random numbers to make our selves feel better and to recruit, our score does it for us. Anyways SE are clearly not interested in SoS so i don’t know why this argument is still running.

Let’s let SoS and IoJ have a matchup. That way, when SoS finishes with 200k more, IoJ can be a bit more humble.

Consider IoJ we have been growing in numbers recently and have been ready to move up a tier or 2. Join us IoJ is a great place to WvW at.

Your always welcome to come check out NSP. We have a pretty solid morning crew for our rank range, and have some of the most interesting women to talk to ;-). We do not however donate gold for transfers, but we do host a temple zerg that hits up all of the Orr temples and major champs on a nightly basis. Your “less fortunant” players could utilize this to get some gold fairly quickly. (I was averaging 10 gold per run, this was before the changes to champ drops)

Just fyi, we’ve been mainly speaking to community leaders from SBI and IOJ. I have interests in SoS if anyone would like to speak from their community.

Its gonna suck to see you guys leave. We’re definitely gonna take some ranking hits. Abyss is the only other large WvW guild we have.

You should consider Borlis Pass
We are a active wvw community(when there is no pve living story crap). Unlike Sbi, Ebay, and Yaks who are weekend warriors, we pull out all week. Those 3 servers are active on weekends as you have seen since your are facing sbi and bp now. Sbi will prob be empty all week till the kids get home.
Ebay gets creamed during day, Yaks are pretty good when we last fought them and sbi does their famous zombie blob zergs on weekends only protecting their love SM.
Borliss Pass has a great community and wvw players. We tend to be bad when it gets late since we are going to bed but otherwise that you seen what we can do in WvW this week.

Sounds like you guys field guild groups similar to T3 and higher. A lot of good things said about you too. Anyway. I think SoS would be a perfect fit. They win T3 due to a strong Oceanic crew, but commonly face off against DB and FA. A strong NA guild would definitely put some pain on their T2 opponents.

Just wanted to add another biased opinion…I don’t speak for my server.

I’ve been on IoJ since beta, but only got into wvw around what people on the server call the exodus (Dec/Jan). So, my perspective has been seeing our server go from it’s lowest point to now. There was a time you will remember, when, even with our strong oceanic group, things were not going our way in the frequent DH/DR/IoJ match-ups.

We’ve been lucky to get some transfers lately; that’s brought us experience and leadership but probably not the numbers some people think. The numbers have largely, slowly, been coming internally. People on the server made an effort to organize and grow wvw-focused guilds, that precipitated more people to begin to do the same, and this has in turn lead to better organization and turnout.

There’s a stable core of people I have seen most days for the last 9 months, and the weekend warriors are at a minimum. I did my first living story event in two months this week.

I recognize your guild from our numerous match-ups so know the kind of addition your guild would be. IoJ is worth considering. It’s got a good community and I think our oceanic crew are hungry for bigger fights.

You should join IoJ. There seems to be a high degree of mutual respect between your guild and the whole of IoJ.

I think IoJ sounds like a good bunch of wvw Lifetakers and heartbreakers and everything if heard from our scouts there is good imo, i really liked the part about Commanders not being heckled after they spend there time and hard earned money on siege and what not to make points for there server.

lol wut? HoD and SF have given us some good fights but this week has mostly been a blow out. Our whole corner stays fortified in NA primetime while we constantly flip their paper towers and keeps, in EB and BLs. I don’t think you looked at the score history very carefully, or looked specifically for times when we were being pressed hard from both sides. IoJ has changed a ton since the last time we faced SBI. I remember that because it was my first week in wvw (late may or early june I think). Since then I’ve ran with IOJ through 340 wvw ranks from 0 and seen us go from losing every week to winning every week and everyone working together. I’m in one of the big wvw guilds on IOJ and no one ever asks or begs us to do anything. The culture of IOJ is that we’re all IOJ, and we all work together in wvw. Guilds don’t get thrown under the bus, we’re all on the same TS channels and know each other. SE is about the same size as us and would fit in nicely with the current wvw scene here, we’d love to have them.

Nothing but respect for SBI, and I have been hoping to roll you each week at reset… but I think SE’s guys that have been rolling with us this week can tell you that your perception simply isn’t true.

I will say this I think either server will be a great place for SE. Personally I don’t care if we win or lose and I don’t think that is why we are moving off DH. I want to find a sever that looks at wvw the same way we do and I think both IOJ and SBI do that. Also from my personal experience on IOJ the community there is something I’ve never seen on DH and I have heard the same of SBI. I cant wait for the choice to be made be it today or in a month I just wanna play alongside my guild again.
