We are 100% committed to WvW. Specifically Open field combat and Guild vs Guild.
We are constantly looking for ways to improve.
We want nothing to do with players simply looking to get carried through combat.
Our members take an active role in class composition and build composition.
We search out large scale combat and engage them with significantly fewer numbers.
We expect to win them all.
We absolutely hate losing.
We like to hunt groups all night.

[SIC] Membership Expectations:

Members are required to have one level 80 that is fully prepared to completely re-gear. A good amount of knowledge about the role of your class in WvW is essential.
Download and use Teamspeak 3 while in WvW. Having a mic is an absolute must. You WILL be expected to use it every moment of the night.
Be on fairly consistently (3/4-7 days a week) during our raid times (7pm CST – 11/12pm CST) and devoting most of those hours in WvW with the guild. We wont keep track of how often every member is on, but we want to see you fairly often so that we are used to playing with you and having you as an important part of the guild. Due to our medium sized roster, our group runs during primetime hours, so you dont have to devote the entire day to playing WvW if you enjoy other parts of the game.
Must be willing to follow direction of whoever is in command of the WvW group. The same respect and cooperation should be shown to each commander.
Be respectful and mature. We wont tolerate trolling or disrespect between members of the guild (this is clearly a lie on the trolling front). We want to remain positive and friendly as a community, and we are a drama free guild.
Represent the guild 100% of the time.
Must be willing to register on our website and participate in guild discussions on our personal forums. We want members that contribute.

We currently reside on Isle of Janthir, we were formerly of Fort Aspenwood.

So first, who are we?

and finally our GvG side:

[SIC] is composed almost exclusively of roamers and PvP players. We have been together for 3 months, this has allowed us to function at a very high level during combat as we know each other very well.

We typically roam NA prime with a group ranging from 9-15 players.

Our main focus is simple:

Destruction

The way in which we do this is by seeking out large groups and engage them in an extremely aggressive disciplined manner.

Our focus before the orb buffs was strictly GvG 15v15 style. This style of play translates extremely well to open world play.

This guild has 0 interest in PPT.

Now that you know a bit about us, what exactly are we looking for in you?

*A player with very high level of individual skill. Logging many hours in sPvP is a bonus
*The driver must have a very strong knowledge of ALL classes, not just the one he/she is playing.
*The driver should have many hours with another notable guild.
*The driver must have hundreds of hours on either Warrior or Guardian
*The driver must HATE losing
*The driver must be completely confident running in very low numbers
*The driver has to have a complete understanding of game mechanics (fields/group buffing)

Maybe you could make a post for each profession to help clear things up for us. A wise man once said the more World Recruitment threads your guild has, the better your guild is.

Who we are?

We are the leading roam/GvG guild on IoJ.
We consistently look for ways to improve on a personal and group level.
We constantly evaluate each player ensure each pulls it’s weight and that no one is just being carried along.
In open field we often go against groups twice our size and come out with no casualties.
We don’t worry about PPT. The only PPT we earn comes from the zergs we distract and disable.

[SIC] Elementalist expectations:
Elementalist must know not only their class inside and out but must also have a working knowledge of all other classes.
Players must be willing to change armor weapons and runes when required on a minimum exotic level no matter what cost.
We require 7-8 hours a day on a daily basis with a minimum of 3 hours between 7 and midnight CST in WvW.

Must be able to follow direction but should need no direction. We shouldn’t need to call for water fields you should know the other players and know the opponents output well enough to know when it’s needed and be on TS to coordinate with any other eles.
Must have TS3 and be willing to register to our site and check the site at least twice a day to stay up on any build ideas or changes.

Just ran into an impressively talented skirmish group of your players outside of BP Veloka. While under heavy siege fire, with lots of enemy DPS coming in you guys lasted for a long time. It took a significantly larger group of BP showing up to finally finish the job.

Oh and I don’t think I saw any flavor of the month builds in that fight. It was solid builds and heaps of skill. I will be replaying my recording of that fight to see how I can improve.

I have fought a lot of skirmish teams and that one was likely one of the toughest teams around. Kudos… if I was on IoJ I would certainly apply.

Watching the video back that Asuran guardian was a beast. Good damage from a heavy tank and he had fantastic mobility. Got stuck in a bubble with him and pain was most certainly felt.

Our small skirmish group still has a couple active members that I have been playing with for over a decade across dozens of games and I would not move without them. I will check and see if they are keen on moving over though. The two of us that are still highly active play heaps during your prime hours, prefer skirmish, have multiple fully geared 80s and have around 3k hours of WvW game time.

Here is a little look at what we do, we generally don’t run with over 15. Most of the time we run with between 5-10 members. Our purpose is zerg hunting. Our skirmish crew tends to come out late night. Last night we were running with a necro and ele to coordinate th bomb on those cc fields when they were out, we had two warriors and the guard, it seemed to be a fairly solid comp. Glad you guys enjoyed it, we had a lot of fun last night too!

You have now started a war on our forums as to which roaming group you are referring to, any other clues as to the other classes from sic that were there? Perhaps we could take a peek at the video. We need confirmation as to whos egos are allowed to grow, and who’s has to shrivel.

I will check the video when I get home, but I know there was an Asuran guardian, another guardian, a human elementalist and a necro. There was probably a warrior in there somewhere but the fight was moving really fast. I didn’t get the entire fight just the tail end on video. I was too jacked up at the start to remember to press the record button. Unsual to get a solid fight like that in eternal.

We had two ballistas, one AC, a treb and a canon firing at the start of the fight. Me (thief) and 3-4 other pugs were jumping off the walls at Veloka hitting them between cool downs. I had full stacks of bloodlust, Applied Fortitude, Guard Leech, ascended weapons and for a thief was running a fairly tanky build. The necro conditions kept me busy but the guardian blew me up. I ended up dropping the elementalist and the necro a few times but never put a guardian down. They just kept coming back up. It finally took 10+ coming in from our spawn to wipe the group. I saluted each downed player because they fought like champs and did your guild proud.

I was playing on my human guard at that time. Don’t recall an asuran guard, at least not in our guild. Thank you for noticing us though.

Thanks for clearing that up. We had loads of fun last night, we were all in coms and calling all our CDs, so that is probably why you felt like you got smashed by the guard. If we hear a ring lands, we stop everything and dump damage there.

Alaric, we have had our past. hi, its Shira!!

However, I was always far more loyal to IoJ than FA itself. Glad to see you on that server again. I don’t mind guesting to say hello, but while I don’t run a pure WvW oriented guild (as I prefer doing everything out there) on Tarnished Coast, we do play and I still work with militia a lot.

I know that IoJ needs a lot of help and experience to recover and I wish the server the greatest of luck in that road.

You have seen borlis pass’ strength! This server has lots of guilds who do their own thing.
eBay is not a good choice for you guys They always get squished by every server they face.
Cd and bp would be good for you. Cd likes to blob in eb most of day and bp doesn’t defend a lot. Faults to both servers.

Just if its a good environment for a hardcore wvw guild (that gives no thought to PPT)

I honestly wish you guys would just stay and let the BS blow over though I’m pretty sure you wont and understand why I still figured I would give it a try.
