Hello everyone!

My partner and I are considering transferring to a different server and would like some help from the community on which one best suits us.

We are casual players who only play 1-2 hours at a time; typically anywhere between Noon – 9pm EST.

We like to do roaming, scouting, defending, and any small-scale stuff we can find. We’ll join the occasional zerg to help take down a keep, but the smaller battles feel much more rewarding. We are trying to get away from the constant zerg mentality.

Preferably a T4 – T8 server.

Look, I am aware my answer is not exactly the one you want, seeing as Tarnished Coast is just now firmly setting itself up in Tier 1, but there’s something I really liked about your post, so I just had to reply.

There are lots of skirmishes going on during late EU (12 PM – 3 PM EST) in our match-ups. In fact, if we were still in Tier 2, I would’ve said Tarnished Coast was the perfect place for you both. Currently, there is an increase in zerg activity during the time zone, especially from Blackgate, but the place is very lively with roamers and havocs as well. As for NA prime time, well, Tier 1 is what it is, though Tarnished Coast roams and havocs tons during NA, we have more than a dozen guilds specifically dedicated to it during the time zone, ranging from very casual to very frightening. We do not ask our chaps to get on the tag if they don’t wish to unless there’s an imminent danger to one of our T3 structures, and you would find our commanders make the effort to coordinate with havocs and that we are grateful for any contribution as long as people remain communicative, either on Mumble or map chat. Tarnished Coast is known for its militia, an asset we are always trying to harness to its full potential and that led to a very distinct culture on our World.

Think on it and drop by chez forthetoast, particularly the guild recruitment section (though there are a few other small-scale guilds I would strongly recommend that do not have a recruitment thread up currently), and our own official recruitment thread on these forums (some of the latest answers give a good account about the state of roaming on Tarnished Coast).

I am partial, but Devona’s Rest normally relies on the small ball and Zerg busting. We are friendly and are rising in ranks. Currently we are 22 and are not far from 21. I would recommend a guild like BRL or HAVC. Put you in contact with their leaders if you would like.

The community’s leaders, founders, and members are committed towards rebuilding its WvW reputation and population such that it’ll be more welcoming and inviting for both Hardcore and Casual players. It will likely stabilize towards the bottom of NA servers.
