Hello GW2 Community,

I am searching for an active, fun and helpful guild to become a apart of.

My background: I am a 43 yr old Father and Husband with a full time career. I have been an MMO player for 13 yrs. The majority of that time I have spent in WoW. Though I have also played WHO, AoC, Rift, and GW2.

In WoW I spent my early years as part of a hardcore raid guild. After burning out on 4 night a week raiding I decided to become more casual with my gameplay. During this time I found a great guild that was almost a second family. In that Guild I have served as a Raid lead, Class lead, co-GM, and a Senior Officer. As of late I have become less and less interested in WOW. I am ready to move on to something different and challenging.

I played GW2 when it first launched for about a month when RL stepped in and I had to take a break from gaming for almost 6 months. I absolutely LOVED the graphics and gameplay. When I was able to return to gaming again, I went back to WOW to help rebuild the guild I was in and remained there until now. For the last few months I have been unhappy with WoW as a whole, and decided to get back into GW2, so I said my goodbyes to my friends and have jumped back in.

What I am looking for in a guild:

First and foremost, I am looking for a guild with mature adults. I don’t want to be inundated foul language and immature jokes.

Second, I am looking for people who are willing to help out new players. GW2 has changed quite a bit since I last played, and I’m the kind of person who likes to know as much as he can. If I cant find an answer elsewhere, I will ask people who know. I’m a bit of a perfectionist, and like to be the best at the game I can be. I will want to tackle all PvE content in time, and I am looking to be with people who are patient, and willing not only to share their time, but their knowledge of Dungeons and Fractals and such.

Third. An active guild that really tries to incorporate all its members into it. I absolutely HATE Clique guild where 6-10 people are always grouped together and never accept others into dungeons, raids and such.

So, what do I have to offer you?

1: Loyalty. I am very loyal to my Guild and Guildmates. I will only be a member of one Guild and will represent it 100%. And I will do so with maturity, respect, and dignity.

2: Helpfulness. I will ALWAYS do whatever I can to help the guild. If that requires just giving time to help others, or donating mats or gold to the guild or guildies. If I can, I will.

3: Experience. In 13 years of playing MMO’s, I have seen and experienced just about everything. In game play terms I have done everything from 40 man raiding to Arena PvP. From a guild member standpoint I have Done everything from GM duties to Recruitment to Class leadership to maintaining Guild banks and Leading Raids.

SO – a few things. We come from SWG, then other games, to SWTOR. Now GW2 (in both). We’re smaller and newer in GW2. Mix of vets and new players.

We ARE slackers, and quirky play into our name in fun. We won’t promise zero foul language but we aren’t sailors in a submarine and humor is mature, certainly can be quirky and raunchy but rarely in your face or disrespectful as we are 100% inclusive of LGBT, gender, age, species, etc. Likewise we try to be as inclusive w/ all members! That’s both up to US and elders/officers/members but also the member themselves to be open and ask/offer/etc. We want quality fun chill respectful mature members!

We are always helpful. AGAIN, we don’t have 100 members nor want to be a huge guild. But most are willing to help/etc. for sure answer questions, whatever!

I’d like to extend an invitation for you to join our guild, Just Us Grownups. I think [JUGs] is exactly the kind of guild you’re looking for.

We’re a small guild that’s built on the principle that older, mature and well-mannered gamers don’t need an extensive amount of structure to play the game together. What really sets us apart is that we don’t have officers and it’s the membership itself that runs the guild and protects itself from drama.

Here are the basics:

• We’re on the Jade Quarry server (NA) but since we’re PvE all North American servers are welcome.
• We’re a small guild that would like to remain small (for the sake of manageablity)

We Are seeking Adults who want a place to call home. We are continuing to look for more friends to add to Our guild. FENX is a Primarily PvE Guild, very casual, active, Friendly and Helpful. Howdy Evolution! I loved your intro and you appear to be a very good fit. Tyrs Paladium is definitely interested.

We are a VERY social guild and have been for many years. Everyone knows everybody in Tyrs, and we are proud of that fact… and you’ll realize it the moment you hit our site, read our guild rules, fill out our application and start playing in guild on the very first day.

Here’s a little bit more about Tyrs…

Tyrs Paladium is a renowned multi-game, drama free, zerg free guild for gamers 30 years of age and older (most are early 30s-70s+) that have expanded to the Guild Wars 2 game and community. We have two simple concepts. We are drama free and we don’t zerg (rush ahead leaving others behind).

We are quite organized and live by our motto: Play hard, laugh hard and win, together. We are very friendly to the new player that likes to group with knowledgeable folks without all the typical egos, drama and riff-raff of the typical guild. And Yes we actually enforce our policies.

PS: It’s a great time to join Tyrs Paladium. We are a no drama social guild of many years that is literally a household name in two games, DDO and Neverwinter, and are in the process of earning our good name here in Guild Wars 2. We are having great fortune finding wonderful people. I promise you if you give us a chance you’ll be happy you decided to go with us and stick with us, and that Camaraderie and Friendship will be the rewards from early on.

Okay, in after the copy/paste recruitment onslaught. Sorry, they just annoy me because half of them don’t actually bother to read what you wrote. Anyway…

Heya, Evolution. I’m 45, father of 3 teens and I believe my guild checks off your laundry list pretty well. Here’s what we have.

1. Mature: We do curse some but the crude stuff is kept in a separate section. Nothing really raunchy mind you but the guild is made up of 20-somethings and they like to cut up occasionally.

2. Helping Out: Yeah, we have this covered in spades. We are a growing guild so you might not find a full team every night but, for example, I’m teaching fractals tonight because someone asked, we are starting a raid instructions class next month, and dungeons are by request too. Now, we do have scheduled days for all that stuff but I’m just saying that if you ask, you can usually get without much problem. The exception might be when everyone is at a scheduled event but you are requesting something totally different.

3. No Cliques but Friendly: Yeah, we’re good. Proof is in the pudding brother.

What we ask: Have fun, have Discord, and if we don’t fit for some reason let us know and we might be able to at least help you find another guild. It’s more important that you stay in game then in our guild specifically. When a player leaves the whole community looses.

Anyway, if you’re interested let me know. We are on holiday schedule (most members out with family) but I’m sure we can meet up and chat in game a little. If nothing else you might be able to run some content with us just to stave off the slow holiday season.
