All servers are in need of guilds. All guilds are in needs of players and all pugs are in need of karma-trains. That’s WvW in Guild Wars. This post was named as such because it true, in my 2 years of playing Guild Wars i have not seen a single server not post about wanting guilds! Why am i writing this? Because i am board, yes it’s 3:30am and i have nothing ells to do. What i normally do is play WvW, but the reason why i am not playing WvW is because right now we are being spawned camped by a server we have no chance of even getting half of there points. The reason for this is the sudden drop that happens between the empty servers and the populated servers and the populated servers to the mega populated servers. I’ve been server hopping before, spending a week or two in a few different servers and i have seen the difference between each server weather it be skill, population and coverage and i gotta tell you it is rather insane how the population difference is.
I’ll tell you about it! “yay, fun, he is gonna write more about this boring subject.” WRONG! Well maybe you are right, but i know it does seem rather boring and point less but it is a major issue that the servers of Guild wars are facing. I’ve been to top tier, zergs everywhere, a zerg busting guild group dream, basically ETOM but in EB! Now this will stay like this for about 3 tiers then the population of the servers will half and those t3 server who vs the t4 servers will always demolish them and it will a pointless match up because of the population difference. now for the middle tiers, this is the the heaven tier for any person who likes to WvW. it has it’s share of zergs in prime time and it’s fair share of down time but other then that it is mostly even and everyone would love it there. Now for the drop to bottom tiers. I am currently on Ferguson’s crossing and i gotta say, most of these bottom tier servers have more skill then every server that is above them. The only reason these servers are down the bottom and not in high server maybe gold is because of the population issue. Now FC is where the drop between the middle tier and the bottom tier servers happen. Currently Ehmry bay is spawn camping us as they have triple our numbers on the server and who ever comes 2nd is determent by who ever Ehmry bay karma trains more. So when we lose to Ebay we will drop and vs the absolute bottom servers and a few unlucky servers will have to vs anther server like Ebay. These fights are some time even, it mostly comes down to skill rather then zergs, But in the end FC is in the gap where we ether out number 3-1 or we get out numbered 3-1, yet even when that happens we still put up a amazing fight which i enjoy for our prime time is deadly as we have our few only guild fighting the vastly out numbered servers, and most of the time it is fun.
So Finally to my main point, haha only took me half an hour to type this o.O So in the end the people who don’t want to be rolled over every match up have to go to low silver tier then when that get’s full they will take the top silver tier spot and will be in the same place as they were in before. So how do we balance these servers? The answer is simple, We can’t, there is just too many people who ether don’t care or can’t be bothered, also due to the fact that there will be servers that will out number/out skill other servers that is why there is the gold, silver, and bronze. But if we all want to pull together and try and balance these servers so no mater what server you are on you can play WvW to it’s peek i believe we can. Yes i know i am talking about something absolutely HUGE and 99.9999999999999% impossible to do (just like getting a precursor) but it’s that 0.00000000000001% chance that makes everyone try to get a precursor. Now i know Arena net has talked about merging servers but that is not the answer. Even if that happens the silver tier servers are just gonna get more populated and you will just have the same problem but with less servers. So i am asking this of Everyone in guild wars. All the guild leaders, all the roamers, and all of well EVERYONE to pull together and see if we can fix this problem. What is probably gonna happen is this post will get like 30 views and 2 comments ether poking me about my grammar and spelling (i don’t really care about that because i am 100% sure that there will be something wrong) or telling me that i am stupid and this will not work and you should go back to PvE noob. But hey it’s a problem that needs to be fixed one way or anther. so here i am at 4:30am finishing this long as paragraph. So if anyone wants to help out these lower tier servers or wanna empty them? i am leaving the rest to you.
