A big welcome back to Fist of the Empire [FoE] great to have you guys back

Also bringing with them a new addition [End] looking forward to fighting with you guys even though we play in different timezones =(

If you are a guild looking to settle on a nice balanced server that will fight in WvW no matter the matchup and fun while doing it check us out. We are looking for a little more NA to balance us in T3.

As a new transfer to SoS, I want to say I love the WvW community. The “bring it” attitude is inspiring.

This server is bumping up from 10th to 7th place in the span of a week, yet the distance between the 7th to the 6th is the biggest hurdle yet. Help us push!

I cannot emphasize enough how great of a thing we have going on this server. Our guilds work together, whether it’s in WvW or in PvE events, guild missions; it’s the complete package.

You know our server has heart as we still go out and take on more populated servers week after week, because quitting is for people still playing WoW :P

Erawen, how are we going on this front?

Talk to Errawen for the full details, but things are going well. We are getting a lot of individuals coming over who love how we operate.
We also have been joined by BANE in recent weeks and they are going full tilt and helping out a lot.

We still could use some organized WvW talent in NA, Euro timezones. We also have great opportunities for any WvW-inclined guilds in the SEA zone, as we have a lot of people on but no guilds to rally around at that time.

We have a lot to offer PvX guilds that want to not get harassed while PvE’ing while still doing some WvW at times; and WvW focused players/guilds will find plenty of opportunity as we seldom have queues but always have folks on.

BANE Is most of the core members who stayed loyal to ORL after it disbanded, we’re just under a new tag, that’s all

Anything for SoS!

SoS is looking for some NA/SEA relief as we are constantly rolling +rolls and end up in T2 matches. We have a relaxed community that plays the game for fun and tries to do it’s best every week regardless of roll. PvX guilds are a plus! Come gives us a try if you looking for a change in NA timezone.

My guild [BLNT] moved here about a month ago and from what I’ve seen so far SoS has a great friendly community going on. I believe the majority of my guild enjoys it here as well. Definitely a good server to consider transferring to.

Sorry for the delayed response! I’ll just reiterate what the rest of have said – it would be nice to have a couple more NA guilds, as well as a Sea guild, to party with.

We are working on a new (possible bi-weekly) community event, more details to come soon

If you are interested in what our community has to offer, feel free to listen in on one of our weekly meetings (Friday’s at 5pm pst/server time). Any of the server reps listed in the opening post would be happy to chat with you over some fire whiskey or a nice yak tonic.

We have great opportunities for any WvW group(s) that play in the NA timezone. Given that we have a more modest NA group than most of our competitors, a WvW interested group can join up and really prove to themselves and others how good they really can be.

We face a wide range of opponents from T5 to T1 and you would get to see WvW played at every level of skill and population. If you and your guild are ready to take on a challenge, see one of our community reps!

I wish SoS could get it’s NA presence boosted by some guilds transferring in. Balancing out it’s amazing Oceanic coverage would make SoS a strong T2/3 server.

We are a strong T3 server LOL, but it would be nice if we could hold our own against T2.

i know! but all of the T3 opponents have strong NA, which is exactly what SoS needs lol

I would love to move to an oceanic server as I am from Brisbane, Australia. The only only issue would be the transfer cost

If you’re looking for an oceanic server, there is no better server than Sea of Sorrows. It is the (un)official Oceanic server. If you’re Aussie you were literally born to be there.

Thanks for the help. While we won’t turn away anyone other servers like Mag/FA/CD could use oceanics more. We need help in NA/SEA primarily.

Can you imagine if SoS got a couple more NA guilds? Strong Oceanic presence on a server is such a rarity and coupled with SoS’ unstoppable oceanic force a few NA guilds would make SoS a scary T2 opponent.

Just as long as we weren’t forced into the T1 rat race. We’ll settle for a nice even matchup with FA and DB.

I’d include TC in that, but we’d run the risk of re-entering the T1 arms race and that’s so 2012 as far as we are concerned LOL.

Yeah… TC’s NA is stacked but they lack the Oceanic/SEA presence they need to truly compete in T1, and with JQ beating them last week T2 will still retain it’s mega-server.

SoS making a T2 comeback would be interesting though..

Any smaller casual yet active PvE/WVW guilds to be had on SoS?

For sure! Can I ask more about what timezone you play and what you’d be looking for in a guild? Basically what does small and casual mean to you?

Most of our guilds are PvX in that they do both PvE and WvW but tend to lean in one direction more than the other. Off the top of my head ENVY might be a good fit.

NA( EST time zone ). Normally 7 or 8pm ESt until 11 or 12am est.

By small I mean..maybe 40 or 50 active members that represent the guild most of the time when they log in.

By casual, I mean a relaxed atmosphere…not a lot of requirements of you just active representation. Not that I am new, but it is nice to see a guild treat new players, even low level players, with respect. Non-elitists. With all of this said, people that know how to play their class.

I was freakishly addicted to WvW earlier this year but have taken a small break while re-acquiring my love for gw2. But I plan on playing it a few times a week.

On SoS we are pretty “business casual” when it comes to WvW — no all calls or gear checks although we will try and steer you towards PVT and away from Zerker. I think most guilds in SoS will fit your criteria but I am inclined to say that you would be a good fit with FANG too. You can find out more about them at http://www.emerald-fang.com/

I am not a member of Fang but I run with them regularly and they are a good bunch of people. They schedule guild missions/dungeons/temple runs regularly for those that want to join in and have three active commanders. No matter what time I log in there are always at least a few in WvW with a heavy WvW presence during reset, weekends and at least one weeknight. I know they also have a bunch of people who enjoy theorycrafting builds.

I just transferred, fit right in with fang. VERY friendly and fun group

SoS is awesome! They have a ton of cool people and some good guilds. I would highly suggest moving there!

Just for the record, transferring to SoS (awhile back) was the best decision I ever made. EVER!
