Spirit Bound [SB] is a budding guild with hardcore players dedicated to clearing end game PvE content: dungeons, Fractals and Raids. Currently we’re small with ambitions of growth through adding players that understand the dynamics of the game (not just how your profession operates, but how it synergizes with other professions as well) and are dedicated to developing themselves and the guild to maximize our efficiency at the content we love. We started out as a close group of friends and have already expanded into a solid team of 20+. We don’t like the idea of having set teams for clears, and, as such, are looking to expand with players that want the freedom to login and jump into the content they want to clear. We’ve been able to run daily Fractal and dungeon tours and clear the raid 4-5 times per week for members to get shard capped. We’re not the first guild to have the raid on farm, and we haven’t sold any spots, but that’s not to say we can’t. Right now our focus is on building, which requires trialing new members, and ensuring our current members get everything they need out of the raid every week. ArenaNet has laid down the gauntlet with their expectations for raids to be the ultimate PvE content in Guild Wars 2. We’ve picked up that challenge, successfully defeated it, and are eagerly waiting for the next. If you’d like to be a part of it, we’d welcome the opportunity to add you to the roster. Below are a few lists of what we offer and what we expect from members. As such, a trialee will be expected to meet the same standards. For meta builds and rotations, there are numerous websites with that information, but we do keep our guides up to date on our website for what we’re looking for. And while we stay current on the meta, we are receptive to trying new things to advance the meta for the game. But, if you’re still reading, you probably already know that builds and rotations don’t make a good player. We’re looking for players that can avoid tunnel vision and keep situational awareness on the fight at all times. It does the team no good if you watch your Hundred Blades damage tick up past 60k on Sabetha and haven’t realized that you have the large bomb and hit the melee team with it. Please take a look at the notes below and feel free to contact either of the leaders or officers in game if you have any further questions.
What We Offer?
-A focused, drama free and friendly atmosphere.
-Up to date Meta Builds. As soon as something changes in the Meta you can assume that our guides will be updated to reflect that change.
-Fast daily dungeon (if wanted) and Fractal tours, scheduled Raids with multiple weekly clears.
-The chance to improve yourself as a player and be part of a community that constantly strives to maximize efficiency.
Requirements to join
Meta Builds and Classes, We are open to suggestion and discussion but you really should know what is meta for the classes that you plan on playing during raids.
-2 Ascended classes as well as a third class geared in exotic that you are working on. We ask for players to be versed in multiple classes so that there is versatility in experimenting with party comps and so that we aren’t locked into the same players playing the same professions.
-TeamSpeak 3 is a must. Mic is preferred so that other teammates can keep that situational awareness on what is going on with you (i.e. if you’re down, miss an objective, etc.).
-Ability to take constructive criticism. If you are the best player at the game, that’s great. But the game evolves and we want players that recognize their game will need to evolve, too.
-Knowledge of Raid mechanics and bosses. Hardcore players should have already seen enough video or had enough experience to know that the raid party needs to stand in the green lightning fields on VG (usually, yes, I have seen KING’s 5-man video) and that updraft gliding is required on Gorseval (yes, I have seen the no updraft gliding Gorseval kill, but you still need it to get over to the platform). Some of our tactics may be different than what you’re used to, but we expect applicants to put forth some effort to learn the content if they’re going to consider themselves hardcore PvEers.
-Minimum of 120 AR on one of your classes. Level 83 (Mossman) requires 120 AR, and even though the higher level instabilities suck, we do expect applicants to have experience with them.
-Fractal level of 60+.
-Repping us 90% of the time. We understand we aren’t a PvP guild nor are we all on the same server for WvW. Repping other guilds while in those game modes is fine, but while in PvE areas there is an expectation that you are an ambassador for our guild and, as such, we require that you represent us.
-Having your elite specialization unlocked. This is required for the classes you currently main. This should go without saying as the metas for all of the professions require the elite spec (except for condi engi unless you’re running scrapper tank, but we still expect you to have it unlocked).
