Guild Wars 2

I’m looking to transfer servers, solely for the purpose of finding a server that might actually be dedicated to winning the matchup and not just looking to have a good fight or two because they know they’re hopelessly outmanned. Before I start grinding for the gold>gems cost(not gonna pay outta pocket for anything, already played WoW tyvm), I wanted to see if someone could tell me what it’s like on those servers, both at peak hours and at low coverage times(if any exist, I suppose?). Any information would probably be beneficial. Probably.

I could care less if there are trolls or if people have good attitudes or not, I’m more interested in whether or not the general playerbase is knowledgeable when it comes to everything WvW. Also not looking to join anyone’s guild before anyone tries to recruit me, if I do end up joining a guild it will be after I transfer, so please don’t post the guild recruitment ads if you can.

After fighting CD/SBI/EB. I would recommend you try EB. Players seem to scout positions and defend and their response times on sneak attacks is pretty good. They do have a couple organized guilds that run 20-30 meta and alot more guilds that do small ops. If you considering T3 please check out SoS. We don’t win in T2 and haven’t had chance to fight Mag/YB which are true T3 servers yet but we fight hard and do the best we can.

Hey Shorty. Long time no talk.

A lot ET people transferred to SoS (as you know.) Talk to Duke, Terra or Tarkus if you want some feedback on SoS. I enjoy my time here.If you can play during oceanic hours its a lot of fun too. I’m not sure if you know many people in KWBH but they are in CD. They were rather subdued against SoS/TC so it is hard to evaluate what they like.

I can recommend ebay. They have talented fighters and they have a great WvW participation.

Keep me updated on where you go (if you don’t mind). I still have a keen interest on what is happening to ET folks.

Hey Belle, yeah thanks I was thinkin about goin to Ebay, heard a lot of good things about them. I wanted to stay away from the t1-t3 servers because the zergfest sucks, but I would look into it SoS if it ever turns into a high pop server instead of very high :P 1800 gems would take too long to farm up, the 1000 I’ll probably end up needing is already a lot for someone who hates PvE >.< Thanks for the info, and I’ll say where I"m goin when I leave Hopefully some of these servers can change to medium pop servers at some point during the week XD

There’s actually a bit of a gap between T4 and T5 numberswise these days, and that’s reflected in the Glicko gap between the tiers of approx 250 points. It’s not going to get any better any time soon either, as BP and AR have recently lost guilds (to Mag and DB respectively) and SBI have been on a slow slide for a while.

Here on EBay we, like most NA servers, are NA heavy and light overnight. We can queue all 4 maps on a good reset night but it nevers lasts longer than a few minutes and queues at any other time of the week at all are rare, suggesting a casual but enthusiastic WvW playerbase. We have a couple of med sized guilds capable of fielding 20-30 players, and 3 bigger ones that usually run in squads of similar numbers, so all-out zerging is uncommon.

We try and take defense seriously, focusing on home BL and our corner of EBG before anything else. We have a server TS which all guilds use, though a few choose to run their own comms on the side as well. Our server forums are also the busiest of any server in the game to my knowledge, have a look at www.ehmry.com and see for yourself.

Yes, ruling out a server due a small minority of our kittened forum warriors is the best way to do things.

We don’t all act like that.

From what I can tell your small groups of 8-10 have good builds and are pretty coordinated.

lol I was reading the thread earlier in the week and it made me lol, but tbh I actually like the brutal honesty even if it’s a tad rude, it’s better than all the baby shakin and hand kissin I keep seeing in other threads. I’m a trash talker myself so I understand where most of em are coming from. The monthlies can’t get here fast enough >.< need mah money!!!! Right now it’s a bit of a toss up between BP and EgoBay(love the nickname lol) but I think I’m goin for EB, so I’ll see you guys soon enough. Thanks for poppin in Belle, always nice to see an ET survivor ;P.

I gotta put in my vote for Storm Bluff Isle. Youll rarely have to wait in a que even for Eternal Battlegrounds and we hold our own in our match ups. We dont always win but we keep the matches close. I also disagree that the server is in a slow slide. We dropped out of Tier one before the free server transfer ended but weve been steady ever since.

Any way we have a good team speak server and most of the people on it are pretty mature. Oh and we actually are more of a PVE server so its kinda cool that we do well in WVW when the server’s focus is more towards PVE.
