My husband and I, who are both members of the LGBTQ community, are looking for a PvX guild.

Here’s some information about me:

• 29 years old
• Work 3 jobs
• Played since beta
• 3 geared, max-level characters (Elementalist and Mesmer, with Engineer as main)
• Super introverted

Here’s some things we’re looking for in a guild:

• LGBTQ
• Specifically welcoming of trans* people
• Regular scheduled/spontaneous events
• Active forums
• Guild Missions

It is specifically important for the guild to be a safe space for trans* (transgender) people, not just gays and lesbians. We’re looking for an environment as free as possible from sexism, racism, homophobia, and transphobia.

Here’s some things we can offer a guild:

• Positive attitudes
• Maturity
• Warm, welcoming presence
• Some graphic skills (signatures, avatars)
• Help (especially on forums) for new people (builds, “what now?” posts, etc.)

We are not interested in transferring servers or guesting to be in a guild on another server, so please do not ask. We are staying on Tarnished Coast. =)

Considering you’ve had no replies thus far you might consider changing servers. We are a new kind and mature guild of adults. We don’t mind what you do in your personal lives as long as you are mature in-game. Give us a look.

Our Community

• Stormbluff Isles – We are active on SBI, but allow guesting. Don’t forget you can delete all your chars for a free transfer.
• Mature – Our ages range from 18 – 30+.
• Active – Recruiting all time zones. We have 60+ members. Most active around 10PM+- EST.
• Website – Our site is hosted by Enjin. Used to share information and promote our events.
• Community Oriented – We are community first, guild second. We look for community members.
• Voice Comms – We use Mumble & Enjin chat via Overwolf overlay to communicate across multiple games.
• Live Streamers – We promote our Twitch streamers. Our streamers often do giveaways.
• Newbie Friendly – We are very helpful and always welcome new players.

In-Game Activity

• WvW – Weekly WvW night. We run in small groups.
• sPvP – Not much sPvP activity but we will support anyone wanting to start a team.
• Leveling – We often team up with and help our lower levels.
• Dungeons – Eager to run Dungeons, often done nightly.
• Fractals – Same as above. Our most active runners are nearly level 10+.
• World Bosses – We often report active bosses and kill most of them on a nightly basis.
• Missions – Actively unlocking missions.
• Representing – We do not require 100% representation, but atleast 75+-%.

Greetings Aidyn and Hubby,

I think I have just what you’re looking for. My guild is called The Gryphons Aerie and we’re a smaller, casual yet social, 18+ PvE/RP family on Tarnished Coast. Some of our members also enjoy WvsW/sPvP and we do have our own arena. Knowledge of and/ or participation in RP is not required. We’ll teach you if you want to learn, but there’s no pressure.

Many of our members are either allies or LGBTQ community members. We have at least 3 or 4 trans in the family. We do not tolerate any sort of derogatory words or actions toward them or any other member of the community.

We know that RL comes first and stress that fact. We’ll still be there even if you can’t for a bit of time.

We are currently working on building up a solid core of pve players, but there are still a few around who would be more than happy to help teach you if you want to learn and have a little patience. We enjoy helping each other and doing things together when possible. All you have to do is ask if you need help with something and we’ll do our best to come to your aid. We try to do Guild Rush and Trek weekly, but don’t have the numbers to do the Bounty.

There is also no requirement to be representing us at all times. It’s not our business to tell you who you can and cannot associate with; that choice is yours alone. All we ask is that you give us some time too.

We also have a TeamSpeak 3, but it’s use is on a purely optional basis. Most of our chatter is on the guild channel.

I’m so glad you ignored all of my points, SeeingBlue. For anyone else looking to reply to this thread, please don’t disregard the express things I’m looking for, and please don’t copy/paste a form reply.

To Aria, thank you for your reply, but I don’t think The Gryphon’s Aerie is quite what we’re looking for. I wish you well, however.

Bumping this as we are still looking.

I am just coming back off a 4 month or so hiatus, but there was a guild on TC named [LGBT]. I was in it for a while, it was pretty active and everyone was very nice. I left the guild before I left the game, but doing so had NOTHING to do with the quality of the people there. I reiterate, they were very nice and welcoming people.

Actually, while I was typing this to you, it struck me to log into the game and ask around for you, and I may have something that can help. The guild is called Our Sanctuary [LGBT]. The fine folks in Lion’s Arch Mapchat said they’ve seen a lot of people running around with the tag, so I reckon the guild is still active. Log into the game and ask around about these folks. You’ll find something, I’m sure.

Their forums don’t seem too active, however. Then again I’ve been part of guilds with inactive forums and have personally perked them up by leaving input, this despite being somewhat of an introvert myself. Oh, btw, I was part of the “Q” crowd. I was welcomed nonetheless. Try ’em out.
