CYNICAL ON TARNISHED COAST
Note: We are recruiting individual players, but if you are a smaller guild and interested in merging with us, we are certainly open to the idea. We have had several smaller guilds join our family, and each addition went smoothly, and worked out for the best for both guilds!
WHO WE ARE:
Cynical [CYN] is a semi-casual guild, active mostly in the EST time zone, though there are many members in PST and other parts of the world as well. We recruit active, social players who like to do all aspects of PvE, and/or casual sPvP or WvW. The focus flows with the interest of our players. Our roster fluctuates around 100-150 players, mostly from Canada and the U.S. Online members in the evening is usually around 25, with 10+ online in the daytime. We like to be big enough for a proper guild experience, but not so big that people feel lost in a sea of strangers.
Don’t let the name scare you, we ain’t a buncha grumpy Guses!
We are newbie friendly. Our guild is full of patient, knowledgeable people who are always eager to answer questions and show you their favourite parts of the game. We strongly believe in teaching newer players the ropes so they can open up endgame content and enjoy it with us. The neverending cycle of helping the ones that come next, is integral to the spirit of Cynical.

SPvP: There is plenty of interest in PvP here at Cynical. We have our own Custom Arena to try new builds or 1v1, and every week we have a guild PvP event. We are always looking for dedicated PvPers to proudly represent [CYN] during tournament matches as we even have our own ranked team. Newbie or hardcore, come one kill all.
Wv3: On Reset, depending on the number of players, we run as a guild group, or join in with one of the other wonderful guilds on TC to take on bigger objectives. At any other time, impromptu parties can be made where there’s interest. We are not a guild that asks members to change their build or use certain classes (though help with builds is offered). We do our best to meet the playstyles of whomever is playing, and the goal is to have fun, be considerate, and helpful to the server.
WHAT WE ASK OF OUR MEMBERS:
* Be over the age of 18 years old, as we are an adult guild.
* Agree to ONLY rep CYN (switching to access your Guild bank is allowed)
* Look for guildies who want to do similar activities, and group up with them for 100% chance on crit to gain bonus fun.
* Try out mumble chat when doing guild groups. It’s where the magic happens!

* Treat one another with respect and dignity. Details on standards of behaviour towards others can be read in the Guild Charter.
