Guild Wars 2

Hello! I’m an experienced RPer (over 10 years) looking for a guild that fits the following:

• Takes roleplay and the lore seriously, but also spends significant time helping members with PvE goals, running dungeons (preferably not always speed runs) etc.
• A relaxed, calm, friendly environment that’s welcoming to new people.
• More casual than hardcore. I’d like to get involved with a group who’s serious about their RP but can turn it on and off and go do PvE stuff instead, and where members do their best to accommodate each other’s real life schedules.
• Not too big. I’m a little shy so I’d like to go somewhere that it will be easier to get to know people.
• Friendly to women and LGBTQ people.
• Okay with non-100% rep.

As far as guild settings I especially like serious and dark RP as well as romance, but I would be interested in a variety of different types of storyline, particularly if you find the theme of your guild to be on the more unusual side.

My name is Atomo T, a proud member of the guild, Remnants of Hope. We are all travelers of Tyria that have banded together to defeat our enemies. We participate in PvE, PvP, and RP events on the Tarnished Coast Server. We are not just some guild who wants to simply play a game, we work on building a community and making new friends.

Remnants of Hope gives their members the opportunity to play in any way they’d like and have fun. We offer PvE, PvP, and RP. We aren’t a guild that only focuses on one aspect of Guild Wars 2, this means we will never stop at the chance to try something new as a community.

We’d like to give our members the chance to play in the way they want to at any time they want. This means we offer PvE, PvP, RP, and maybe even some other made up mini-games just for fun. If you don’t like doing PvE, that’s fine with us! We can do RP and PvP with you. Or maybe the other way around, you don’t like PvP or RP, you can always join us in some PvE events. It doesn’t matter if you are a hard-core, semi-core, or casual player, we will be there fighting alongside you. We will always be trying all aspects of Guild Wars 2 and expand our limitations to work better as a community, and as friends.

We do have many RP events within our guild which would suit you and we are also currently trying a new RP system created by our very own RPers inside the guild. Other than RP we do do dungeons and PvP and we are not a hard-core guild. We are a 100% rep guild with the exception of personal guilds for the bank and Teq Terror Squad[TTS] raiding.

My guild is called The Gryphons Aerie and we’re a smaller, casual yet social, 18+ PvE/RP family on Tarnished Coast. We run on mostly an EST time frame but we do have several west coast, European and Asian time zone members.

Knowledge of and/or participation in RP is not required.
We’ll teach you if you want to learn, but there’s no pressure. Some of our members also enjoy WvsW/sPvP (although we don’t have a regular WvsW showing) and we do have our own sPVP arena. We also have a variety of member-hosted events that change every week.

We know that RL comes first and stress that fact.
We’ll still be there even if you can’t for a bit of time. Just leave a little note to let us know you’ll be away, and all is well.

We are focused on providing a place where people can feel comfortable and as though they are more than just a name on the roster. We want everyone to feel like family.
We are very LGBTQ friendly (with several members of the leadership being either part of the community or allies of it) and do not tolerate any sort of derogatory words, comments, bigotry etc. There are also quite a few women in the guild, myself included.

We’re willing to help out with any and all questions as best as we can, whether it’s dungeons/Fractals (which I love to help teach), builds, and other general game questions. We also don’t do the “speed runs”, exploits, etc, nor require anyone to bring a specific class or build for any dungeon run. Bring whatever you want and we’ll have fun regardless.

There is no requirement to be representing us at all times.
It’s not our business to tell you who you can and cannot associate with; that choice is yours alone. All we ask is that you give us some time too.

We also have a TeamSpeak 3, but it’s use is on a purely optional basis. Most of our chatter is on the guild channel.
