Luminis Magistratus is now drafting for the Mist War!
We are an English Speaking Order that focuses on the values of justice, nobility, and humbleness, but as well strive for peace and serenity. If you wish to join, please look at this thread first. It has information that is vital and that all members must be aware of.

Our members must have these traits as well as the utmost integrity and respect for other members. Our leaders are expected to fulfill their duties and treat all other members equally and fairly. The members of the Luminis Magistratus are each important in their own way and shall serve their purpose in making the Order respectable and well known.
Tenants of the Order:
- Be truthful to your fellow members and the higher ranks.
- Be respectful to your fellow members and the higher ranks.
- Do not compromise the Order in any way.
Please note, failure to abide by our Tenants is grounds for suspension/expulsion of the Order (depending on the severity of the offense). Follow these Tenants (as well as ArenaNet’s Official Rules) and you’ll have done your part in being an upstanding member.
Recruitment Requirements:
-In order to become a member of the Order, you must have done one of these:
A. Met either Alston Smith or Arodion Smith in-character.
B. Sent a message to Alston Smith or Arodion Smith with the following information:
– You would like to join because…
– I am a…
– I will contribute…
– I would like to meet up sometime to discuss more (if necessary — ONLY IF YOU HAVE NOT MET ARODION OR ALSTON WHILE IN-CHARACTER)
How recruitment works:
-Recruitment works in one of two ways (or both, if you choose to add option #4 on Part B of the recruitment requirements):
A. While in-character, we will discuss briefly who we are, what the Order does, and what the purpose of the Order is. Since you of course already met Arodion or Alston in-character, you will need to of course state what you will contribute and why you would like to join.
B. If you’re going for the letter method and you HAVE NOT met Arodion or Alston, you’ll put in the letter:
– You would like to join because…
– I am a…
– I will contribute…
And then of course, if you have not met Arodion or Alston while in-character, add option four to your letter.
What we do:
Like many guilds, we chose the “PvE/RP/WvW” route. Here’s the catch: We do everything in-character, should a majority vote yes on doing that event in-character. For example, should we be in WvW, we will fight in-character, take objectives in-character, and should we want to RP in a keep when we take one, we will also do that. Likewise, if we are doing a PvE event such as Ascalonian Catacombs, we will be doing that in-character. As well as PvE/WvW RP events, we will also have normal RP events such as (and my favorite) exploring Tyria with Lignus Swiftarrow or drinking tea at Miryssa’s Tea Shoppe (#shoutout). Overall, do consider joining Luminis Magistratus — you won’t regret it!
