From what you describe, you may want to check out Remnants of Hope. We’re a community-focused PvX guild, meaning that we participate in all aspects of the game (including RP) and are focused primarily in maintaining a group of good, friendly people that promote an overall positive environment.

We welcome players of all levels and experience backgrounds with GW2, so you will find that we often run together to do content that even very low level players can participate in. In addition to this, we also have very active forums that serve both to keep everyone in close contact as well as to share helpful resources and tips that are often very helpful for new players.

We join together for both scheduled and unscheduled events just about every day of the week, so there’s always something going on. Also, everyone is welcome to post new events, so even new members can put up an event for something they want to join with guild mates to do.
