Guild Wars 2

[TSA] is a small guild of about 40 people at the moment of this post. As most people know Devona’s Rest has seen its better days. Last year Devona had a better time while it still had guilds like [AoD] around and all the bigger guilds had a presence in WvW. After the loss of a great commander, Sir Morningstar, the server took a few its on the rankings for WvW. Even with great commanders leaving bigger guilds still held in and kept us alive. I am sad to say I also took a leave for a few months due to schooling but once I got back we had fallen. Some of the biggest WvW guilds left the server to have a better WvW experience. I understand people leaving but entire guilds just packing up really hurt the server. I have returned to commanding due to most of the remaining guilds on the server are focused on EB. Recently my guild has been working with enemy BL yet we are always outnumbered. This isn’t an issue for taking towers and supply camps yet it becomes difficult to have a strong presence in the BL or really anything more than a minor nuisance to the enemy. I am making this post because I believe we can get the server up again. If anyone is on the server or wanting to change to the server and willing to help please contact me either here or in game. This is not just a recruitment tactic for my guild. A small guild can be just as helpful to a server as a large one. I am more focused on bringing our server back into the WvW scene. (Just a follow up. I am aware that Sir Morningstar was not the only commander that got our server well off in WvW but all the commanders during his time helped with getting us off the bottom. I only use him as an example because he commanded through some of my most memorable moments in WvW and allowed us to have 100% map control against other servers multiple times in EB.)

I too took an extended period of time off from the game only to come back (only a week ago) and see our fair Devona in a sad state of affairs. Well, not completely sad anyway. I feel like the groups who run WvW now are a lot more closely knit than when I left. I never struggle to find a good fighter to run with, and they are always helpful and informative. It’s why I love our server. But no matter our tricks, tactics, and innovative strategies, there are moments when the sheer number of our enemies just becomes too much. This is why I hope threads like this reach someone, that if even one more person decides to join the fight in WvW, we will be that much stronger. (Especially if they play over the non-primetime hours, that would be amazing :P )

Leader of [HERO] from Kaineng here. Being against you guys the past couple of weeks I’d really like to see you guys improve, even with the difference in numbers you guys still put up a good fight. If DR could get some more overnight coverage DR could easily put Kaineng in last place.

Hello again! I want to first thank everyone for posting. I made this post because more and more I hear people wanting to change servers due to not many active players. When people say this it confuses me I understand that some want to be on the top servers for instant action but why not try to improve your own. Again big thanks to everyone who has posted and letting me know this is being seen. I do believe all the servers in the last tier could improve drastically. I have notice a huge wave of new players coming into our servers so right now my guild is trying to offer help to them and allow them to learn to enjoy the game with a group so that they will stick with it through leveling and possibly come assist the server in WvW. Also about getting back guilds who have left, I do not think many will be coming back maybe just individual players at that. Most guilds who have left are already situated at their new servers at this time.

(also btw Kaineng you have some amazing smaller guilds. I see a lot of 5 player guild parties roaming, capturing and defending in borderlands throughout the day. It actually surprises me that ET is ahead of you.)

Bump to TSA and the new guilds beginning to grow on DR. You are most welcome here. To DI on ET, ASH on GoM and the whole posse on Kaineng – thank you for repeated fights..and lessons. Our WvW community will continue to progress:)
