Hello there,

Hope that you’re having a good day. I just joined this game last Sunday night, so I still have a long road ahead of me. I’m hoping to connect with like-minded group of people, because I want to be with them for quite a long time. The idea of changing guild frequently doesn’t appeal to me, so I’m taking this thing a little bit more seriously.

These are some of the things I value and look for in other people as well:
- I value random acts of kindness: “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” – Maya Angelou
- I value diversity: gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, etc (basically almost everything that falls under nominal measurement) don’t affect how I see someone as a person. These things are all awesome in their own special way and we can learn so much from each other; communication and open-mindedness are the keys.

Welcome to Tyria, Krysta,

I run a smaller guild called The Gryphons Aerie. We’re a casual yet social, 18+ PvE/RP family on Tarnished Coast. We run on mostly an EST time frame but we do have several west coast, European and Asian/Oceanic time zone members.

Knowledge of and/or participation in RP is not required.
We’ll teach you if you want to learn, but there’s no pressure. Some of our members also enjoy WvsW/sPvP (although we don’t have a regular WvsW showing) and we do have our own sPVP arena. We also have a variety of member-hosted events that change every week.

We know that RL comes first and stress that fact.
We’ll still be there even if you can’t for a bit of time. Just leave a little note to let us know you’ll be away, and all is well.

We are focused on providing a place where people can feel comfortable and as though they are more than just a name on the roster. We want everyone to feel like family.
We are very LGBTQ friendly (with several members of the leadership being either part of the community or allies of it) and do not tolerate any sort of derogatory words, comments, bigotry etc. toward anyone regardless of nationality, race, religious beliefs, gender or sexuality.

We’re willing to help out with any and all questions as best as we can, whether it’s dungeons/Fractals (which I love to help teach), builds, and other general game questions. All you need to do is ask. We also don’t do the “speed runs”, exploits, etc, nor require anyone to bring a specific class or build for any dungeon run. Bring whatever you want and we’ll have fun regardless.

There is no requirement to be representing us at all times.
It’s not our business to tell you who you can and cannot associate with; that choice is yours alone. All we ask is that you give us a fair bit of time too.

We also have a TeamSpeak 3, but it’s use is on a purely optional basis. Most of our chatter is on the guild channel.

We are a casually competitive PvX guild, meaning we do a lot of everything. We maintain a family friendly atmosphere, most of us go by first names and the core group has been playing together for years. We have recently been getting many new players so you’d fit right in and have people to adventure with. We are great at teaching folks the basics all the way up to high end content. We are currently a smaller guild of 25 and looking to grow to about 100. We are looking for committed and long term players that are looking to be apart of the fam.

We’re actually specifically designed to be a safe haven for people who tend to face a lot of prejudice, including people of color, LGBTQ people, people who speak English as a second language, people with disabilities, people with mental illness, and more. So kindness and diversity are really important to us.

My name is Telana Dentari, humble emissary from the guild called Remnants of Hope. For generations, war and chaos raged across the land of Tyria. Five races competed and warred against each other, struggling to tip the balance of power in their favor. In Guild Wars 2, we participate in PvE, PvP and RP on the Tarnished Coast server.

What aspects of the game do we focus on, you might ask?

Remnants of Hope wants to give you the opportunity to build your own playstyle. This means we offer PvE, PvP/WvW and RP. You are free to play the way you want! Don’t care for PvE but love PvP? Go for it! Not so hot for either PvE or PvP but want to really immerse yourself in your character through role-play? Not a problem. Whether you’re casual, semi-hardcore, or hardcore, we’re right there with you. We don’t limit ourselves to one thing that the game has to offer, but all fields that we can conquer as an ever-growing community. Our focus is far from linear like some guilds might be, and we will make the best of everything we’re given!

We hold many in game events such as PvE dungeons, group role-play, PvP, and WvW. While role-play is not required of anyone who joins, we have many talented role-players and writers who work together to create a brilliant and immersive experience both in game and on our forums. Whether you prefer to weave your character’s legendary tale as part of our turn-based forum role-play or to bring it to action during in-game events, role-players of all types will find a welcome home in our halls. In addition to this, we also promote free writing on our forums and even hold writing contests to share stories both within the GW2 universe and beyond!

How was your day? I checked out your website and I’m really impressed with how well you (and some others as well) organize it. I noticed that your guild has a lot of members (1000+); is it easy to follow a conversation when so many people are talking/typing at the same time?

Also, I got the impression that your guild is one of the top guilds around. Just want to make sure you’re aware that I’m completely new to this game. It’s just that I find it quite surprising that a high-end guild would offer an invitation to newbies.

I also read the treads about guild rules & buddy guide and I think those terms are fair. Other than that, perhaps there’s something else that you can tell me about your guild?

Hope you’re doing great. Thank you for your invitation, I really appreciate it. Your guild seems really awesome, but I’d have to respectfully decline your offer. I noticed from your website that many of the members also play other online games. Quite often too I assume, since FF14 has a monthly fee. Having said that, I don’t feel good about it because this will be the only game that I’m playing. There will be times when you guys are out playing the other 2 games and I try to avoid being left out. Hope you understand, wish you all the best. Have a good one.

These are all great guilds. Of course, I’m bias to DEA, but in all honesty you can’t go wrong here. TC is a big family in it’s own and these are all great options, you’ll enjoy anyone you choose
