SUMMER OF THE PHOENIX: A Month-Long Guild Celebration!

The world of Tyria has a calendar that closely aligns with real-world dates and seasons. Each season has a name, and they are as follows:

• Season of the Zephyr – Spring, aligned with the element of Air
• Season of the Phoenix – Summer, aligned with the element of Fire
• Season of the Scion – Autumn, aligned with the element of Water
• Season of the Colossus – Winter, aligned with the element of Earth

We are currently in the Season of the Phoenix, 1328 AE. Thus, the name of our summer event is based off of this piece of Tyrian lore. The Summer of the Phoenix event will take place every summer for our guild from this year onward!

Join us this evening for the Adventure Society: Southern Shiverpeaks event.

Welcome to the Adventure Society, with your host Jon Grave! These events are designed around helping newer adventurers discover some of Tyria’s better kept secrets, although all are welcome.

This week’s trek will be to the southern Shiverpeaks! As such, we will be strolling through Dredgehaunt Cliffs and Lornar’s Pass. Here’s a rundown of the sights we’ll see:

Dredgehaunt Cliffs

• Tribulation Rift (jumping puzzle)
• Tribulation Cavern (jumping puzzle)
• Forsaken Halls (mini dungeon)

Lornar’s Pass

• Griffonrook Run (jumping puzzle)
• Windy Cave (jumping puzzle)
• Demon’s Maw dive (diving location)
• False Lake dive (diving location)
• Beaker’s Empty Belly (achievement)

Be aware that Dredgehaunt Cliffs is a level 40-50 zone and Lornar’s Pass is a level 25-40 zone when planning to attend.

We had an AWESOME party last night!

It started off with trivia, costume brawl and a special Belcher’s Bluff team contest, all with prizes! We also had live music playing thanks to our resident DJ, Will/Petra, whom also was handing out gold prizes if folks guessed the songs correctly! There were a couple of randomized giveaways as well, in which skins, dyes and gold were won! In total, we handed out over 700g worth of prizes! \o/

At the end of our party all 20+ of us transformed into giant plastic spiders carrying Birthday Blasters, Golem Arms, kites and fireworks which were all hilariously up-scaled in size. We then “invaded” Lion’s Arch, Divinity’s Reach and Rata Sum in the most epic guild parade EVER. TeamSpeak was roaring with laughter and I had tears in my eyes over how funny it was to watch the reactions of bystanders.

[RISE] will be hosting a small yet explosive event in Lion’s Arch tomorrow @ 3:00 PM EDT! Open to the community!

In just about an hour, we will be hosting a small event in Lion’s Arch with some prizes involved and so many fireworks that folks will probably crash to desktop!
Open to everyone!

That was a fantastic community event we just had earlier!

We started it all off with trivia, followed by 5 giveaways for gold and 3 giveaways for an Abyss Dye, Golden Lion Dye and a Ley-Line Staff Skin! Fireworks and various party favors were continuously provided throughout the event. After giveaways, we did a parade around the area and then had our finale where everyone spammed fireworks and I used 2x Dragon’s Fortune Firework Crates to give everyone in the area +50% Magic Find for 2 hours! Thank you to everyone that came out to hang with [RISE]! Hope you had fun and enjoy your prizes!

After we finished with the event we went out to Silverwastes as a guild and coordinated an event map for Vinewrath!

Now we’re minutes away from Guild Missions! \o/

Our month-long scavenger hunt, the Flameseeker Challenge, has been an epic success so far and we’re only 5 days in! I’m so excited to see who wins the legendary shield, The Flameseeker Prophecies on the 28th!

This evening, our PvP Officer Nighthawk will be hosting an INTRO TO PVP event!

Come learn builds, tactics, and basic knowledge for the GW2 structured PvP game mode with Nighthawk, who is infinitely patient, calm and clear in teaching PvP to folks. He makes it an enjoyable and non-stressful experience!
