Guild Wars 2

Hello, my name is Addison.
I’ve played Guild Wars 2 before and I’ve reached cap level having a blast playing World vs World.
But that was awhile ago and I don’t remember so much.
I still feel like I’m a newbie. I don’t know classes very well yet.

I’m looking for a strong, active, helpful, friendly, community of people.
I want to get myself settled into Guild Wars 2 again and make some great friends.

You MUST be an active guild, I want to see people online when I’m online.
I DON’T want to be online and see myself the only person on because they’re from different timezones. I’m tired of that.
I live in the USA, GMT -5, so I expect to see a lot of your members living around that timezone

I’m really looking forward to PvE with new friends and do World Bosses again and just have an amazing time!

I also love it when a guild holds events like meeting events or get together’s, doing dungeons together, and many more events.

I lead a PvX guild Currently in Yak’s Bend (but we also accept members from other servers. We are a guild of about 150 with with around 20+ members online during our peak time the evenings. Most of us live around the eastern and central time zones.

Our current focus is the livings story and getting together to do that. We also manage to get out and do a dungeon or fractal on a semi-daily basis. Our guild missions are every Friday where the whole guild comes out and participates.

We are a guild that has a focus on socialization. We maintain a social community on teamspeak with members on every evening. You will get the most out of your guild experience there.

I’m not looking for a guild who’s leader probably copy and pasted a message he/she made long ago and didn’t even read my thread AT ALL.

Did you even read what I said?
I really and truly am looking for a great guild to call home.
Friendly, active in my timezone or around, Helpful, Loyal, etc.

Come back here and tell me you read this and I’ll give it a read.

Yes I did read what you wrote,

I never copy and paste you can look at all my posts, all my replies are hand written response to what the member is seeking. Copy and paste recruiting is a very distasteful and cold way to recruit. I recruit people based on if I feel what they are looking for would be a good fit for us.

You said you were looking for an active guild… I told you how active we are.

You said you were looking for people in -5 gmt. I told you what time zone most of us live in.

You said you were looking to PvE with new friends and a guild that does things together… I told u what our current pve focus is, when our guild missions are, and that we are a social guild.

I even went as far as to follow up with you in game…

What is it exactly that I was supposed to say? Did you even look AT ALL at my other posts before accusing me of being copy paste recruiter?

I thought you might be a good fit for us but your accusation offends me, I respectfully recant and withdraw my invite.

I accept your apology and thank you. We all have our bad days and I appreciate that you put forward the effort to apologize.

Perhaps I spoke a bit rashly. I have been leading this guild for over a decade and take it a bit personally when someone criticizes my leadership.

We are truly a guild that believes in quality over quantity membership and could have filled our roster many times over if we didn’t clear people out for inactivity and non-participation. But, without community and a focus that roster count is just a number. We feel it is very important to have friends to really get the most out of this game and that everyone should have the opportunity to be our friend.

With this belief in mind, I couldn’t in good faith turn away someone that is honestly looking for a place to belong and make friends even if we got off on the wrong foot. If you are still interested in us I am willing to have you. You may contact me in-game for an invite or further discussion.

Looking for a guild again now though since it’s been almost a month.

I think I spoke to you once before when you were previously looking for a guild.

We have everything you are looking for and more. We just expect some effort and activity, or notification if you can’t be active for a period of time.

Hey Addison! My guild is about to start recruiting again and we’re mostly Eastern US prime (6pm – 12am EST is our core group.) Just a few questions to help myself and others determine if you’re a good fit:

1) What server are you on? Server doesn’t matter for all that much anymore, but since you mentioned leveling in WvW, I figured I’d check. We’re on NSP.

2) What size guild are you looking for? Size is a pretty good way to narrow the pool: 5 -10 / 15 – 30 / 30 – 50 / 50+ actives in your time zone are all viable options but very different guilds. We’re about 10-15, but I’m hoping to bring that up to 15-20 with our next recruiting drive.

3) Any special requests? As an example, my guild uses voice chat (Teamspeak) heavily, so if you prefer to stay off voice comms, you wouldn’t be a great fit. We also tend to police behavior more than most guilds to help create a safe gaming environment, so if you don’t like to be “censored,” it’s probably not a good fit. Think of those intangibles and be choosy! The more detailed you can be, the better of a fit you’ll find.

Hey Addison, we at HoTR are looking for awesome new people to recruit into our little guild community. We want people who have great personalities and are fun to play with. We don’t care if you are a veteran or a total noobie. We just want to bring in more friendly players with good chemistry into our small community. We usually do a little bit of everything. We have nights dedicated to WvW. When we do run in WvW we usually don’t like to run in the large mindless zombie zergs. Our guild has got a reputation on our server for running some of the best havoc squads in Dark Haven. We also do a ton of PvP. We already have one PvP team in our guild and we want to start another one. If WvW and PvP is not really your style that’s okay. We also have members that are all about that PvE thug life. Most of our member are usually down to run dungeons, fractals, world bosses, map completion or whatever.

If you like what you hear and are interested in joining us we do have a few requirements. You must be 18 years or older. We are willing to make a exception on the age limit if you can prove to be a mature individual. We are a Dark Haven guild that likes to do WvW so we would prefer to recruit people on our server. If you are not on our server it’s no biggie as long as you might be willing to transfer. We can assist in sever transfers. We also use Team Speak 3 which is a must if your going to run with us in WvW or TPvP. Our last requirement is the ability to take a joke. We usually tend to goof around a lot and we never take ourselves to serious. So if you are a prick we don’t want you.
