[VOX] – Vox Invictus

Background

Vox Invictus or “Unconquered Voice,” is a group of players that have been gaming together for roughly five years now. We’re best described as an adult group that likes to have fun, but also likes to play hard and win. Our ultimate goal is to mesh a fun adult environment with a good gaming experience.

When we first came to Borlis Pass some weeks ago, we actually planned to simply join as a group into another guild. We did this to give our leaders from our previous game a break from having to organize and lead. We met several nice folks, but ultimately felt that we couldn’t find an adult atmosphere that enjoys what I will call ‘spicey’ humor and allows cussing, but could immediately snap into a serious and disciplined atmosphere when a WvW engagement started. As a result, we decided to open up a Vox chapter in Guild Wars 2 and have found our style and environment to be extremely popular with the server.

Our Focus

We focus on World vs. World and high end dungeons (Fractals). We also run guild events, such as the guild bounties so that we can farm commendation to buy ascended gear. After all, having those extra stats is important in WvW.

I should also add that even if WvW is not your first focus, you are still welcome within our ranks. We have several members that are more PvE oriented, but they like having an adult atmosphere to hang out in. We’re fine with that, the more the merrier.

What We Offer

*We will teach you how to play your class.
*We will teach you how to excel at WvW.
*We will teach you how to run through Fractals, quickly and efficiently.
*We will get you guild commendations so you can buy ascended gear.
*We provide vent for VOIP comms.
*We provide leadership in WvW so that you have a fun, but also cooridated, challenging, and rewarding experience.
*We will show you how to do more than zerg.
*Adult atmosphere where you can relax and not worry about a 12 year old in vent.

We have players from all around the world, but the majority of us are central/east coast. Our primetime is 7/8pm est to Midnight est during the week, later on weekends.

What We Expect

At the start, let me be clear that we are 100% fine with inexperienced players. If you are clueless about WvW, that’s fine. If you aren’t 80 that’s fine. If you are 80 but have no idea how to gear/trait, that’s fine. Our key requirement is your willingness to learn. What’s not fine is players that don’t want to learn.

We expect our guys to: •Get into vent when we WvW.
*Learn the guild’s tactics.
*Pay attention to our raid leaders. (i.e. don’t chase shiny red if we’re moving elsewhere)
*Learn to use important in game mechanics. (I.e. CC’s, Anti-CCs, Combo Fields, etc)
*Be team players when considering specs/gear/role selection.
*On designated nights, we do want people to bring geared out 80s.

A Note on Vent/Guild Chat

We offer an adult atmosphere where our guys and gals can joke and have fun, but if you are simply a kitten we won’t tolerate it. We’ll call you out and troll you because of it. (I.e., funny/inappropriate stories would be fine. A moron just saying racist slurs will get the boot) It’s a line that a normal adults should know.

It’s been a long time since this thread has been updated. In that time, VOX has grown substantially. We now have over 400+ members with nightly active numbers around 50-70.

We’ve also become more competitive in World Vs. World, running 4 open raids and 3 “skill group” raids each week.

The only requirement in our open raids is bringing a lvl 80 toon. To raid with our skill group, you must be an 80, be on TS, and run the required class/spec setup. We’re new player friendly, as long as you abide by those requirements.

As before, we still have a fun adult atmosphere. We’re a lot of 20-50s hanging and having fun.

The nightly raids are a blast! I have found that the skill group runs have really made me a better WvW player overall, no doubt, and seeing a larger group flee in terror when they recognize your tag is just priceless.

Remember, we raid 7 nights a week (Open WvW Raids Tues, Thurs, Fri, Sun), (Skill Group/Havoc Mon, Wed, Sat). (Guild Missions Sunday nights!)

You can clearly see that we “VOX” were clearly outnumbered but we follow our tag and directions and can run around for 5+ minutes get kills and still be able to run out back to SM.

VOX is still recruiting! We’re one of the dominant forces on BP.

We require our members to be 18+, open to an adult atmosphere, and to be team players. VOX runs as a group, and dominates as a group.

Currently looking for more guardians, warriors, necros, and elementalists. You do not need to be an expert. As you as you’re willing to listen, learn, and run the required specs, you’ll fit in just fine!

VOX had a BLAST this past Saturday during our guild date with DaA. Both the bags and the fun was plentiful!

For those interested in the guild, we’ve switched to a full time skill group setup. This means all our official WvW raids require certain specs, gear, and TS.

However, keep in mind that VOX is not a ‘leet’ guild. We’re 100% with new players that need to learn the ropes.

All we ask is that you bring a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. In return, we’ll happily lead you to the bag buffet table.

VOX is looking for more players dedicated to WvW! We’re especially interested in guards, wars, eles, and necros.

But above all else, we want TEAM players. We run synergized specs, use TS, and run as a TIGHT group. Being part of that is more fun then you can know!
