I guess I’ll start off by stating I am currently a guild leader of a very small guild… However, due to our core group not being very active/not repping much it lead the last 8 month of trying to get the guild going into wasted effort and took the joy of the game from my co leaders and I. We have decided to disband and move on… With that said it brings me here hoping to find a guild that is inline with what we had in-visioned. I am exhausted from leading at the moment therefore I am not seeking a position in leadership, however later on I would give it some thought if offered. Because a few of our active players will be pretty guildless, I’ll most likely have a few following me (1 guaranteed).

Accomplishments and other Info (Not trying to show off… Just trying to give you an idea on what kind of veteran player I am)

• On at least once a day
• Home server: Fort Aspenwood
• 8 lv 80’s (just on my NA account)
• Mains: Guardian (Tanky support), Engineer (Condi), Necro, (Zerker) P.S I don’t care too much about being meta. I got for what I think is fun and elitist really bug me.
• Over 4.5 Thousand hours played since 3-4 days after launch
• A little over 12k AP (skipped some of LS season 1 meta events because they consisted of too much of pve zerging with auto attacks. And I don’t judge people’s skills from AP, I see it more as an indication on how much content they have done)
• Defeated Liadre in the Queens gauntlet (favorite mini lol)
• All crafts at 400-500
• Commander tag, but these days they’re a dime a dozen hehe
• Made Quip for my shiny engi lol
• lv 30 in fractals
• Arah p4 away from dungeon master
• Something like 130 rank in WvW ( I spent more item in WvW before they added the ranking system and wvw masteries)
• Rank deer or dolyak in pvp (I don’t remember for sure because I haven’t played much in quite some time)

What I had in-visioned / what I’m looking for.

I am looking for guild that has a solid foundation, more specifics bellow

• Main thing, a friendly and open mined guild with a family feel! When I say that I mean not discriminating against age, race, gender, gender Identity, sexual orientation, and even class the person plays. In the past I have seen too many guilds advertise themselves as friendly and after being in said guild for a day or so I notice people saying things like"that’s gay" or “f*g”. I don’t see that as friendly, instead rather disrespectful. Cursing I don’t mind as long as it’s not every other word…
• Content: PVX focusing on PVE: For pve I love doing dungeons, fractals, open world, living story, mega bosses, jumping puzzles. Pretty much everything! ~cough SAB! cough~ When it comes to WvW I would like to get back into it. However, if you’re guild isn’t on FA I just can’t justify spending more gems transferring for the sake of wvw. But hey, that’s what roaming is for. So if your guild is on FA great; if not, no big deal. I would like to get back to being a competitive player. So would I do some PvP? Absolutely!
  Guild Events! When I join a guild I want to feel like I’m investing in a family. Whether it be missions, meeting, or player made event’s, If I’m not busy with IRL stuff I will most likely be there! I don’t see the point in joining a guild and not doing things with the guild
• Guild Size: I would rather much have a quality vs quantity. I would rather have a small tight knit guild with really active member vs a large guild with 10% active rate where you feel like just a number.
• Casual Vs. Hardcore: In terms of skill level I would really be comfortable in a guild that is in the middle of casual and hardcore. Although I would not consider myself an expert I do feel as though I am pretty skilled in the classes I main, and like I stated earlier elitist annoy me. I am more than willing to help and give others advice based off my experience as long as they are willing to listen, learn, and give it a try.
• Voip? Even though I dread hearing my own voice, I much prefer voip over in game chat for communication and organization.

So yeah, that’s generally what I’m looking for. Thank you for taking the time to read this! I know it was a little lengthy, but I would rather not “settle” for a guild.

It sounds like what you had envisioned pretty much describes my guild, Ember Solace. We’re a PvX guild on Tarnished Coast, and we are incredibly friendly and open-minded. There are some specific things we have that I believe backs that up. First, here is a quote from our Purpose and Principles (which every member is required to read and sign):

Ember Solace:

We are dedicated to being an affirming safe space for everyone at the margins: people of color, women, people from the LGBTQQIAA* community, people with disabilities, people who speak English as a second language, and more. If you are uncomfortable with people from these groups or if you are uncomfortable refraining from making prejudiced remarks, Ember Solace is not the guild for you. Our commitment to being a safe space is paramount. To this end, we do not allow any racist, misogynistic, transphobic, homophobic, or other prejudiced attitudes or comments. This carries across all means of communication in the guild: the forums, in-game systems (e.g., guild chat), and TeamSpeak. We believe all people deserve respect.

So we definitely don’t allow any slurs or using someone’s identity as an insult. Additionally, we have a Guidance Team, led by Veronica, with Mand, Aguri, and Mustachio assisting, and they help make sure all new members acclimate to the guild and feel valued, which includes sending welcome messages and helping you feel connected.

Our main focus is on PvE, with some PvP and a little WvW. We have regularly-scheduled events throughout the week, mostly during EST evenings:

Mondays: Intro to PvP (in our custom arena) w/ Nighthawk
Tuesdays: #TacoTuesday (killing Tequatl) w/ Veronica, Tuesday Trivia w/ Aguri
Wednesdays: Whack-A-World-Boss w/ Mand
Thursdays: Grab Bag PvE (spontaneous dungeons, Fractals, sometimes Living Story)
Fridays: Friday Night Fights (team PvP agains non-guildies) w/ Nighthawk & Aerveor, Classes for Classes (learn to play your profession) w/ Will
Saturdays: Guild Missions w/ Will
Sundays: WvW Havoc (as there is interest) w/ Will

These are the “staples” of the calendar, but other events rotate in and out. For example, we had a “Heartbreaker” guild PvP tournament for Valentine’s day (3 teams of 5 in a bracket system, plus a Valentine Party with music DJ’d by Will while we played iSketch and some in-game activities.

Also, we are very interested in helping people achieve their in-game goals, whether that’s doing all the jumping puzzles or getting Dungeon Master (we’d love to help you with Arah p.4) or unlocking traits, etc. All you need to do is ask, and we’ll either gather the people spontaneously to help out, or put something on the calendar.

We currently have about 82 people in the guild, with anywhere from 50-70 logging in each day, and about 15-30 online during peak times. We’re 100% rep, and we have an application (not about gear/AP but to screen out trolls/elitists) and a trial period to make sure you’re a good fit for us and we’re a good fit for you. We also have active forums and an active Team Speak 3 server.

I honestly believe you would really enjoy our guild, and I hope you decide to give us a try. You can get a feel for us by visiting our forums and registering as a new user, which gives you read-access to our GW2 sections. Once you’ve done that, you can browse all of that content, like our activity calendar, our social corner (the V-Day stuff is there), our PvE section, etc. That will probably give you a good idea about our environment and how we treat each other. We are a PvX (heavily focused to PvE) casual, yet structured, guild who wants to try to take part in all aspects that GW2 has to offer. Although we are a guild with growing numbers, we take more accustomed to the phrase ‘quality over quantity’, and that’s what we intend to do.

Being a casual guild, I have my rule of never removing one for inactivity; play at your leisure. Although I cannot assure you that you may/may not see many on at your time (especially with some schoolers/workers in the guild), we will definitely be on to have a great time with you!

Being a structured guild, while we don’t necessarily have a rep requirement as you join, we do keep an eye on this based to on our rank system, basically showing your loyalty/commitment to our guild, while always having fun with the other guilds.

We do not make it required that you have to be on our home server (Northern Shiverpeaks) to join the guild at all, but if you plan to do WvW with us, then you will need to consider a transfer to NSP then. The type of voice communication we use is TeamSpeak 3, and I will try to get everyone to use it at that prime-time you listed!

While I’m not sure whether or not our age demographic is a fit for you, you might find our guild worth looking at.

In regards to WvW, we’re a PvE guild but since we aren’t 100% rep, we would be completely fine if you were to join a WvW guild on your server as well. We’re more of what you’d call a ‘comfy-couch’ guild.

Many of us prefer VOIP because sometimes it can be a pain to keep an eye on guild chat while you’re busy fighting mobs.

Here’s a bit about our guild:

Just us Grown ups [JUGs] is a friendly, easy-going and drama-free guild which caters to the older gamer.

• A friendly and casual social atmosphere
• Over 150 members on the Jade Quarry server
• A personal Teamspeak3 server
• A fully upgraded guild
• A feature-rich website.
• Our guild is comprised mostly of players who are over 30 years old or older, that are friendly, easy to get along with, and enjoy the low-key atmosphere of being in a more mature guild.
• We have a fairly even balance of both men and women (actually, I think the men are outnumbered) and quite a few husband and wife teams as well.
• We are a guild that runs on the voice and opinions of our members. How the guild progresses is decided by you.

Our members regularly get together for events, dungeon, fractal and farming runs; Whichever activity you’d like to do, it shouldn’t be hard to find guild-mates to run along with you. Our website makes it easy to organize events of your own.

Our guild is suitable for both veteran and non-veteran players and we encourage those with more experience to share their knowledge with those who might need help or advice with the game.

I would like to offer up some info for my guild based on your criteria for your consideration.

I have been leading this guild for about a decade now since Guild Wars 1 started. I share the same values as yourself and work activly to build a community where we are not just guild mates but friends.

Our focus is to build a friendly community. We may poke fun at eachother and some of us a little rough around the edges but this is a zero discrimination guild. Our memebers could really care less about gender, age, sexual orientation or any of that. We are all people and we are all here to have a good time and play some guild wars. Our members are very diverse in the since of age and orientation and we have a pretty good ratio of men and women. Even though we do not have a minimum age all of us are 18+. We are all here to have fun, chat, and laugh a little as we play Guild Wars. Our guild runs are on a first come first serve basis, we dont care how experianced you are or what class you play.

We are a PvX guild that is mostly PvE. We were a guild that used to be Yaks Bend exlusive but since the megasever we been accepting memebers from all servers. Some of transferred after some time, we do not require it or even encourage it. We are not very big into the wvw scene. We do however do many activites in PvE. We have held guild missions every week since they came out without fail. We do fractal and/or dungeon runs daily. We have a focus on the living story and have become pretty effective at getting people thief achievments. We also have some members that sPvP regulary such as myself.

Our biggest event is guild missions every friday. We usually have around 30 people show up. Sometimes more. Other than that what we do other days are very impromptu. I myself try to bring people on dungeon and fractal runs. Many other members get together and do world bosses or the silverwaste. Our newer members will seek eachother out and map or level together. There are always many things going on as I try to seek out players that be social and reach out to others.

As for our size. You said it best. Quality over quantity membership. One of the values I take pride in when managing the roster. We currently have around 150 members and we hover around this. We have 60-70 accounts log in througout the day daily. We are most active in the evenings US with 30 people online and repping on this time. I clean the roster monthly for recruits that have not repped and logged on the last month or witnessed excessively not repping for the time they spend online. We do not require 100% rep I beleive that if I am doing a good job people will pledge it on thier own. All people that have pledged 100% rep have ranks that allow for 3 month inactive time before they are removed. I take my roster very seriosuly when it comes to keeping it active and try to balance fairness with the level of a members commitment.

I feel like we are fairly balanced when it comes to casual vrs hardcore. We are hardcore enough that we know how to get dungeon and fractal runs done effectively. But, we are casual enough that we will not enforce class, build, or experience requirements. The goal is to be effective but at the same time inclusive. We do not push builds on people but we are always willing to offer advice to people looking to improve.

We do make use of teamspeak 3. Some of us are on thier every night to socialize. It can get very… colorful in there but I feel it is all good fun.

In all seriousness though, a lot of the things you’re looking for in a guild is what I’ve also built into DEA, I think it would be a great fit. I’m also currently looking for people interested in becoming an officer/co leader and I find ex guild leaders to be the best because they know how to take ownership and are reliable. Wow, looks like you’ve considered quite a few guilds

If you’re looking for a PvE-focused guild with several members into PvP (I personally am for example), and don’t mind the fact that we’re cross-server and so don’t wvw together, I can recommend TC, an open-to-all guild that nonetheless holds its members to certain standards.

Our main requirements are to rep us close to 100% of the time, with bank/wvw guilds allowed on the side, and to run Berserker gear in dungeons. We have a mix of players, with many experienced players soloing arah daily and newer folks who have yet to get their DM title.

We also pride ourselves on our active community.

Heya, I’ll throw my hat in the ring here.

I was in the same place you were with a guild bordering on disbanding after I had to take some time of for health reasons, and it’s been a slow burn for months, but I’m kicking it in gear and trying to rebuild a guild that shares everything in line with what you want.
It’s still held together with a small group of people who have been friends for nearly 10 years, we have many more who while moved on still feel like part of the guild. We want that family feel and we only want people who make it a positive place to be.

We are casual with experience in all fields of GW2, we have a TS and all that good stuff, I love running guild missions and coming up with crazy things to do for the sake of it.

I haven’t seen you reply to any of these, offer some feedback, you’re coming across as way too picky. You started a lengthy thread and people are taking the time to read it and leave in depth replies and you seemingly have ignored everyone. At this point I wouldn’t be surprised if people just stop replying.

Even if the above guilds aren’t a good fit, tell us why and maybe we can point you in the right direction.
