Hi there! Most people refer to me in game and on Teamspeak as Dragoon, and I’m one of the three guild leaders of Vicarious. I hope the headline grabbed some of your attention. Yes, Vicarious is not just a Guild Wars 2 based guild, but a community of people looking to have fun. Do we enjoy all of the aspects of being within Guild Wars 2 as a guild? Of course we do! Our members are extremely diverse in the aspects of Guild Wars that they enjoy. I, for instance, am a PvP lover through and through
. That, in and of itself, is not the goal of our little community, however. What we’re focused on is not the game we’re playing, but the player playing it. We want to recruit good, like minded people to join us in our revelry. Our ultimate goal is to build lasting relationships that go beyond playing a specific game or two.
I’ve found myself in a few guild throughout the many games I’ve played, and each and every time the guild lost it’s luster. Eventually, when you’ve run every dungeon, beaten all of your foes in PvP, and fully satisfied your wanderer’s spirit by uncovering the entire map, what’s left? In most of the guilds I’ve been in the answer was nothing. Players and leaders within the guild were so objective minded that personal interaction rarely entered the picture, or if it did it was simply casual chit chat. There was simply no substance or life to those online connections, and they vanished as easily as they were attained. With Vicarious we’re looking to break out of the objective mold, and give players something better and more meaningful to look forward to when they log in everyday.
We want you as members to interact to the point that you’re not simply a member of Vicarious any longer, but a participant in a great community of friends. In short, Vicarious is not looking for people to fill it’s in game roster so that we can always have people on to run dungeons with.
