Guild Wars 2

My best friend has finally been able to buy GW2.. Sadly My home server since launch, Blackgate, is always full. So I’m going to have to transfer to another server. We’re both large scale pvp fans, and prefer good sized skirmish all the way to rolling with a zerg. Some variation is nice. Anyways, I need to figure out a new home! Some people are telling me to try SoS, some say Shiverpeaks… i don’t know! Any advice?

Do you like WvW? If so it will drive your choice because you can guest to any server for everything else. Do you want to go to a full/high pop server like BG/SoR/JQ/DB/TC/FA/ or medium servers like MAG/YB/SoS/KN/CD/EB or low pop like SBI/BP/DR etc High/full have lots of people. Medium have just enough. Low have several gaps. If you oceanic I suggest High pop or SoS/KN because they have decent oceanic populations. If you US I suggest any medium server because full/high servers don’t need more people.

For WvW, SoR, FA, or SoS are the best non-Full T1/T2 choices. Other servers outside T1/T2 may be good options too, but I’m not familiar enough to comment. Find the server forums of the ones you’re interested in and do a little research on the community.

You can find all manner of fights in every tier (though less 60v60 as you go down in rankings). If you like the player density you have on Blackgate, stick to the higher tiers, if you’d like less density check out the lower ones.

Personally, I’d just look for guilds that do what you want, rather than servers.

I will say Crystal desert because I play their. I have played against sos for may reset. They are ok but could use improvement…they have strong ocean guild and therefore they win. I played them on reset and i can see they are some what disorganized. i know people will disagree, but i state what i saw.

Can’t go wrong with Mag IMO.

They raised the server caps. Your friend can get into blackgate now.
