Guild Wars 2

As some of you may know Devona’s Rest lost it’s two main WvW guilds not to long ago. Beast and DDLG. We are about to lose two others. We have maybe 50 people in WvW throughout the day. Most of the Vets of WvW have left the server and our newer group (for the most part) is people who are new to WvW.
I come here today asking if there is any guilds or even small groups of players that would be willing to transfer over to Devona’s Rest to help. Any amount would be helpful. We have almost no night force and barely have a daytime force.

There is no que’s either.. So that might be a plus to some people.

Devona’s Rest NEEDS some type of population boost and it needs it more than ever now. As stated, we are losing two more guilds due to the fact we are already underpopulated. This will only throw us further down.

If your Guild wants a serious challenge, to feel like you actually mean something to your World – DR is the place for you. I’ve been here since the beginning and week in and week out, we have always been the ones to fight hard and never really give up. Fair Weather players and Guilds will always come and go, but for the most part a good portion of the current population is experienced, tough and skilled. We know what defeat is, and even though we hate the feeling – we come in the next week with our heads held high and ready to fight hard until the next reset. Always.

I’ve seen some amazing things during my tenure as a soldier, as well as a Commander. We have overcome larger and stronger forces. We have pushed through the barrage of Arrow Cart AoE’s. Stopped waves of Omega Golem armies.

But now, we want to taste victory. We need help. We need new players and Guilds devoted to the fight, our Veteran’s cannot do it alone anymore with the new wave of players leaving. If you are a solo player, or an entire Guild looking to transfer. Consider Devona’s Rest. We will welcome all with open arms.

Until then, DR will continue to hold its head high and fight on into the next reset. Whether that is with 10 players on the map or an entire 50-man zerg.

No offense guys, but you should probably delete this thread if you are able to. This is quite close to begging and doesn’t make your server very attractive to new people. Anyway, that’s just my opinion.

My advice would be to come into a recruitment thread with your head held high, the way you approach WvW.

Also, because I’m a shameless gossip, who is leaving and where are they going?

Its no where near begging lol. Simply asking people to come help.

This is a recruitment thread. Call it what you will, and whatever you choose to call it doesn’t drive it away from being the fact of the matter that DR is about to lose 30-45% of its active WvW base. It is a bad situation and we are in need of people to transfer. But we are at that point a Guild can come in and integrate quite easily. DR is much like a small town of 300 people. Everybody knows everybody and will instantly recognize a new face.

However, I am not going to throw out names. Sorry. If they choose to declare who they are, they can.

I don’t get a sense that there is any begging going on here, CornChips. I feel that it’s a solid, and heartfelt, request to keep DR in mind if a guild is looking for a good home. As a member of ET, I can certainly see where they are coming from.

Heck, you (AR) should even be able to sympathize with their plight to some extent.

It’s sad to hear that, especially because I know all the background of why these main guilds are leaving the server, and knowing that there is nothing you can do about it is worse than the fact that DR is going to be pretty empty. For the remaining WvW guilds out in DR, the best you can do is form a solid war council. It is the best way to show people love and interest without any attrition whatsoever.

Yeah, not very many WvW guilds here anymore. The ones still here aren’t giving up though. It would just be nice to have bigger numbers ya know?

I would recommend DR to any WvW / PVX guild looking to transfer to a lower population server!

I have grate memories of DR and i certainly miss the small man havocing and roaming and there is no Queues or lag

From another server who has recently had numbers problems in WvW, it’s been good to see that DR hasn’t given up the past few weeks. Things can get really frustrating always being outnumbered. Keep hanging in there and maybe both our servers can start the rise in ranks together.

DR is still a scrappy server. They certainly could use some players.

Rested and refitted after the most recent holiday there is time for you to get your stomp on. Yes the full stomach and thick sock cozy feeling is nice but don’t you really want to get back to the rampaging killer you have always been? Come to the battlefields of Devonas Rest. Roll over the opposing server like Santa looking for a sugar cookie. Get hungry for the fight and come feed that hunger on Devonas Rest. The bags and suger cookies are here, no batteries or assembly required.

DR is a great place to make friends while not many people everyone basically knows everyone there as long as you speak up don’t hide in corner. I would love to see DR rise and get a taste of victory for once rather then be constantly beat down to last place it’s just sad to look at and sad to see people who are trying their hardest to make the server better place and win when the main issue is just population.

It is new year and time for a new challenge. Take your guild out of that laggy long queue server and find a new home in Devonas Rest!

DR has heart. People come and go but the faithful, devoted core is still here! It has only made us more determined as a server and we are improving every day. There is less and less negativity as time goes on. We are all committed to the fight. I for one am proud to be DR it’s my home. Guardians of Thrones [Got] is here to stay. Join us if you like a challenge. Mindless huge zerging is frankly, quite boring. GoTta love the fight!!!!

DR has some of the best tactics of all servers. We are getting better everyday. I have been DR since release. DR is a very tight knit group because we have to be. In DR everyone makes their mark. Your not just a face in a sea of people. Friendly people, lots of heart, and die hard attitude. Proud to call DR home!!

Thanks for the bumps! Were working hard to energize DR. Just need some bodies out there.

I agree Silent DR is a great server to play on in which each person can make a difference and not be lost in the zerg.

Also love the no queues. Only time we get them is reset. Fighting outnumbered has made the numbers we do have very skilled and fierce. We go looking for a 20 vs 30-40 fight because that is what we are used to. DR has found a renewed focus and life in WvW and now is the time to move to DR. Its only a matter of time before the rocket takes off. We are ready…are you?

If it were much cheaper to transfer to lower-tier servers, I think more guilds and WvW players would consider moving to DR. However, not many people are going to be willing to drop 1800 gems to move to a dying server.

DR is a small but great community. We do try hard, very hard and succeed in many battles. But sometimes, we are just out numbered 3 to 1 and even with us putting up a great fight, we lose do to just sheer strength in numbers the opponents have. If you want to not have Queue and have fun and fill part of the community, DR is for you.

bumping this for DR! as someone who used to be on a dead server, it’s rough and you always feel like you’re getting your kitten handed to you no matter how hard you try. DR is definitely worth giving a shot for tier 7/8

We have actually received no “help”. No new transfers or new players. The numbers we do have just bring it!! If we did get transfers we would no doubt rise swiftly.

We need numbers/guilds for WvW especially in NA off-peak hours where the “Outnumbered” buff appears like a parasite.
