Yaks has a very good Militia presence and good EU coverage for its spot in the ladder. We know how to defend and siege well. Drama free. If you are looking for a laid back place to transfer to give Yaks a go.

I transferred to YB a while back and have been loving it since.

An interesting fact to me, is that if you look at the past for YB in WvW they do not really move up and down on the chart yet still have great fights, great competition. They don’t have huge exoduses that plummet them down dramatically either. And if people transfer off they either end up coming back or another guild shows up to replace them.

The PvE on YB is amazing with a well coordinated and time zone considerate force who is almost constantly rolling.

And when it comes to tournament time, the people in PvE are not just achievement hunters…ours know their stuff, contrary to what anyone says. And we become a real pain for the enemy.

YB has been home to my guild since launch. We have what I feel is one of the more welcoming communities for both pve and wvw. The name got us to choose the server but the community made it our home.

Since we have been ridiculed i will make sure next time someone speaks of a ranger they will know that they are not just a push-over but a deadly force to reckon with when faced with a ranger that has exponential skill even with a weakened class compared to others we will smash their plans over their heads with our volatile forces strength in ranger numbers, confusing the enemy, and positing will be our key to victory.

for example you have a melee on melee zerg combat instead of all fighting in one spot we shall flank them from all positions with a specialized formation either in circle form, directly behind the target zerg or branching out from behind these targets in a orderly united fashion we shall aim for the key targets that are weakest and eliminate them first.

I will be looking forward to seeing other fellow rangers accompany me in wvw however all are welcomed we will primarily be a ranged force for accompanying our melee zergs in battles, counter-attacking and providing resistance against any attacking threats.. see you there!

Rangers aren’t that bad as people think although they aren’t certainly not on the level of a Warrior or a guardian.

If you want a great community that works together yet lets your guild do what it likes best, check us out! We may not have the pop to win against the hordes of HoD but that does not stop us from doing our best and having fun at the same time! We welcome all types of guilds. All we ask is that you have a positive attitude and want to have fun.

We are never discouraged about being outnumbered, instead we enjoy the challenge and will keep fighting and showing up!

We can’t queue 4 maps 24/7 like HOD, but we have a lot of depth in our command bench. A lot of great commanders that always make playing fun.

But do not transfer here if you are elitist, like to create drama, or hate defense.
We like our siege. If you like to siege a keep to the teeth and farm incoming hordes. Join us.

If we can get a bit more strength during Ocx/Sea it would be awesome. Try our server, you won’t regret! :P

Yak is a great server. Really chill and filled with arrow carts and supply traps. I don’t think i saw a single commander mad at his group when we die (not very often).

I just transferred back to the Bend after 2 months on a T2 server, and I’am glad I did. Still feels like home. Great community, no drama. Community website and TS. Plenty of room to grow.

Our cooperation and drive to win definitely sets us apart. We never give up, even when it seems it is pointless. We see what we want and we give ourselves to it. The community is amazing and while nothing is expected from individual guilds, everyone still does their best to get the job done.

Yak’s has one of the best PvE population in the game. Daily meta trains and huge PvE guilds. I only ever WvW, but the few times I do need to go out in PvE lands, I am never alone.

For WvW, I can say that for 2 seasons now we had been always predicted to have a low ranking, only to rise up to the challenge. No one can forget how we broke SBIs bandwagon last season(that 50 page forum thread lol). And this seasons we are hoping to be in the top 3! The tenacity, ruthlessness and the spirit of our WvW crowd is why I have been on Yaks, through bad times and good!

Good luck on finding people, yaks. you guys are a great server! I remember battling with you guys when I was on CD. Would be awesome if you got to tier 2. I highly recommend this server it has active wvw players and strong oceanic coverage.

Yaks bend probably has the nicest WvW population almond the “more try hard” servers in NA. Even though Yaks try-hard every week we are still relaxed. Also as a new commander people around me try to help and teach rather then blame me for killing a 10 man zerg to 25 (in my defense we did take the camp and killed 5 of them)

Also if you are EU timezone, give yaks a try. I play during all timezones depending on my weird schedule, and EU on Yaks is second only to NA prime in the level of organization. For the tier where we are we generally have very good equal fights during EU time frame. Very good commanders and great players. During Ocx we are generally very good defensively for our tier., but more players will be great to let OCX krewe do more. Also when it maters our na and eu ppl will try to stay up/get up early to support ocx.

Don’t come if you want to bandwagon, but do come if you want a good and friendly community. Cheers and see you in game, friend or foe.

Still need an OCE guild and then Yaks Bend will be unstoppable!!! But we are looking for any guilds to come join us. I’ve been in this server since I’ve gotten GW2 and it’s been amazing since day 1. So many people are helpful and friendly in the PvE world. Then when you want to jump in to WvW there are many guilds that would love to show you what to do, and train you. Our TS is always active 24/7 and you can expect everyone to be friendly and laughing.

We are currently starting to see a lot of results from our long term training and communication work. A lot of results in different timezones and most importantly stable and friendly environment. Also if you are an older gamer, come to Yaks! We have the highest pop of older gamers in GW2, and it leads to a more mature community. Also, we don’t generally do much RP, but as a server YB is friendly with RP community. There are some guilds that roleplay to a degree on YB, and we generally support their efforts when they have in game events in wvw.

Stable, fun, with few ego’s. Come have a look yourself!

We are going strong in season 2. Come, give our server a try! Most people who xferred here never bothered to look for another server – We have one of the healthiest community

My guild transferred to Yak’s Bend a few weeks after season 1 (no we didn’t transfer for the season) due to a toxic environment on CD. We wanted more players, but not too many as we’re a small guild that likes to wvw roam and wanted to avoid T1 and T2 blobs. We checked out a bunch of servers but something just felt right on Yak’s Bend. Once we got here we were completely blown away. The community is a night and day difference. Everyone is so friendly. There wvw community is also great, everyone works together. I would highly suggest Yak’s Bend to anyone looking for a home.
