Looked into your site. I would say if people do register at all give posting permissions from the get go, deal with trolls and topic deletion later. Because if you’re offering a service, it should be as good or better than the currently available ones. Either way I’ll give you some information that you can just copy-paste to start filling up your directory ^.^

Majority of what we do tends to involve dungeons, fractals and Spvp. A lot of our members are not level 80, so we have no problem accepting new and leveling people. We’re not a “rep us all the time” guild. Rep us when you can, join in and chat, hang out! We also have no inactivity rules set. Life sometimes gets in the way and while we would like to know where you went, it’s okay if you have to disappear for a while.

You should submit a ticket to make this sticked, you might have more success than me. It’s been 12 days till I asked to move my thread back to PvP forum and/ or to make it sticky and their answer could be summed by the word “Patience”.

LOL…oh dear…perhaps they are inundated with support requests for lost passwords and some such. Since the expansion announcement there seems to be an influx of returning players.

In the meantime, I’ll just keep bumping the thread and PMing folks who haven’t listed a home server on their guild advertx

I was asked in map chat today ‘why only English’ for the directory.

1. We (that is jknrich and I) are not fluent in languages other than English so we wouldn’t be able to moderate posts that were written in anything other than English.

2. We couldn’t post up the directory guides in all the other European languages because we are only fluent (mostly fluent anyway) in English.

3. Managing a directory just for the English server guilds will be a big enough job – adding to that all the other European language servers…overwhelming to say the least. Increasing the size of the forums may very likely increase our cost in maintaining them. We want to keep the service free for the community to use.

4. guildex.org – a directory for all servers across North America and Europe. We are not trying to be another guildex hence the focus only on the EU English language focused servers.

Any other questions, please ask! In the meantime, if it all looks groovy, head on over and list your guild. The quicker the forums are populated, the easier it will be for all of us…for guilds to have their presence known (and not buried) and for players trying to find a new home for the pixel toons.

Oh MY WORD!! Just looked at the analytics for yesterday…over 800 page views. Total views since the site launched on 7 Feb – nearly 1400 views!! This site has great potential so c’mon guild and community leaders….pop on over and list your recruitment messages, community pages and community events. Totally chuffed to bits!! GW Reporter gave me some tremendous feedback re: The Directory. It will be featured on their “show tonight, which will be released on 13 Feb in the early morning NA hours”. A fantastic endorsement!! So if you haven’t yet registered your guild, hop on over. Remember, this is only for guilds on EU English language focused servers. Not because we don’t like the other European servers – it is because I am not fluent in languages other than English so I couldn’t translate or moderate.

If you would like to be included in the euguilds.com directory but don’t have the time to manage your own listing, please provide the following info in a reply below:

1. Link to your current recruitment message in these forums – I will copy and paste your message to our forums and will include a link to the source.
2. Home Server (Should be EU English Language focused) – ‘megaserver’ is not a home server. People still want to know what server a guild is on regardless of the game mode.
3. Game Mode: PvX, PvE/RP, PvP or WvW

If you disband or update your message, pop a PM to me so I can update the directory.

If at some point you decide you want to manage your listing, post yours and PM me so I know remove the one I put up.

A little note to all…if you are going to the site and listing your guild, AWESOME! There are two places you can register for all game modes except WvW. We suggest listing your guild in both the General Guild Directory and in the server specific directories for greater exposure. In the General Guild Directory, please remember to include your home server in the thread title (subject). For more info, please refer to the Directory Instruction Guide. WvW guilds should only be listing in the WvW section specific to their home server.

Howdy folks! It has a been a looooooong time since I updated this thread…I blame my house move! Now that we are situated and life is a little calmer, it is easier for me to find time for GW2 (yay) and admin stuff (not so yay, but necessary). I have started tidying up euguilds.com so that only active guilds are listed. If you are currently registered, lookout for ingame mails from me asking the question – is your guild still active?

For those not familiar with euguilds.com….well the super nifty thing about the directory is the ease of use. Guild leaders don’t have to bump their recruitment threads to be seen and players don’t have to sift through hundreds of posts trying to find a guild on their preferred server or doing their preferred activity.

If you’ve not checked out euguilds.com, hop on over. You don’t need to register on our site to list your guild recruitment message or to view existing recruitment threads. Easy, peasy!!

Looking for an EU guild? There are currently 22 active guilds listed on euguilds.com. Most are PvE and PvX but there are a couple of PvP and WvW (Far Shiverpeaks & Ruins of Surmia servers) on there too.

I’ve had some feedback from one guild to say they’ve had new recruits through euguilds.com so the site is working as intended. Site is attracting a lot of attention (nearly 9,000 page views in the past month), the interest is definitely there. It would be really great for the EU community to have lots more guilds posting their recruitment threads. If you haven’t put a recruitment thread up, just copy/paste your thread here and post up in euguilds.com. You don’t have to register to post so really couldn’t be easier.

Top tip: If you are a PvE, PvP, PvX or RP Guild, consider putting a listing in both your home server and general server boards. There are quite a few players that do have a server preference. Plus it gives your guild twice as much exposure.

On another note…we are now at 24 active guilds.

If you at some point want to be able to manage your own post, please feel free to post the info up in a new thread. When I see yours go up, I’ll take the one I put up down.

So that you can use the same thread title, you will see I’ve done (DKB) Divine Knights of Balthazar – you should type [DKB] Divine Knights of Balthazar. The difference is that I use () around the guild tag – people that post their own threads should use [] around the tag.

A top tip – there are players that still like to know what home server a guild belongs to. It would help your recruitment thread acquire more views if it were also listed in the server section that is home to your guild. If you want the extra exposure, please reply with your home server and I’ll update the directory.

Here’s a little bit more about Tyrs…

Tyrs Paladium is a renowned multi-game, drama free, zerg free guild for gamers 30 years of age and older (most are early 30s-70s+) that has expanded to the Guild Wars 2 game and community. We have two simple concepts. We are drama free and we don’t zerg (rush ahead leaving others behind).

We are quite organized and live by our motto: Play hard, laugh hard and win, together. We are very friendly to the new player, returning player, and a veteran player that likes to group with knowledgeable folks without all the typical egos, drama and riff-raff of the typical guild.
