hey guys, i just bought the game, but i am not new to guildwars. i played the original guildwars when it first came up, but now i just got recently back into guildwars. I am currently new to GW2, and the game is currently downloading as i am typing this. I am just looking for a friendly guild that will help out with content and stuff. I will be in the NA servers, and i am pretty active!

Heya, Phosho! Welcome to GW2. Has the download finished yet? I think you’d like my guild, Ember Solace. We’re on an NA server, Tarnished Coast, and we’re definitely friendly and enjoying helping with content. We have scheduled events almost every day of the week (but no one is required to attend; they’re there for fun), and spontaneous events, too. We have an application on our forums that we use to weed out trolls and such (I promise it’s not hardcore; we just want to make sure the guild stays welcoming). To give you an idea about the guild, we are focused very heavily on what we all firmly believe to be the biggest part of the game: having fun. We play just about every area of the game, from PvE (including guild dungeon runs with no experience needed) to small group World vs. World and PvP (and we’re looking at organizing teams for PvP as we have interest). We are based on Eredon Terrace for World vs. World, and so would love to have you there, but if you’ve already picked a different server we’d still love to play with you and possibly help you transfer if you decide you want to. Beyond the Pact is recruiting members of Tarnished Coast for WvW/PvX, Most of our players are on during North American Prime hours. We are currently rebuilding after a large majority went to Sea of Sorrows.
What we offer:
a small guild that has potential for its members to have growing/breathing room. Newbie friendly officers that will help you with a question or help you find the answer if needed should a question arise. Our guild runs a lot of havoc/soft target capture but also has done its best to support the commanders from other WvW guilds as well, even zerging with them.
We also do, Dungeons weekly, Fractals, EoTM and would like to start guild missions soon!
If you want a friendly bunch of people without that pesky guild drama, we offer that. We don’t care what server your on and if you want to transfer to Tarnished Coast we will even try our best to help you do so.
What we Expect:
We expect you to get on and have a good time with us, be active and courage, work well with others. It is that simple. Basically as long as you can behave yourself, enjoy yourself and work with a group of people who want to achieve things We want you!
We do have an inactivity policy where members and officers alike are not supposed to be inactive more than at most two weeks without letting an officer know. We do boot you after a month period if we are not notified before hand of an extended leave.
Rep Requirements:
No major rep requirements here! We expect you to rep our guild when your in WvW or if we are running a DRAG event. We understand many guilds have a 100% rep requirement or something similar and we aim to be flexible with ours.

About The Guild
Remnants of Hope was founded on June 7, 2009. Originally a Star Wars Galaxies guild, we have since moved on to play GW2, SWTOR and Wildstar, while continuing to have an active, positive presence in our games. In GW2, we currently have a group of about 15 – 20 members who play daily, with many other more casual players who pop in a few times a week, and we are looking to expand our ranks.

We not only help guild members enjoy the PvE content of GW2 but to assist them in improving and advancing their characters and personal skills within the game. We are always willing to provide advice/guidance on gearing and traiting different professions. Keep in mind that we don’t have all the answers, but we will help find them! We hope to see you in-game and in our events soon! We do dungeons, fractals, guild missions weekly, jumping puzzles, casual levelling groups, farming runs and living story content.

PvP
We encourage fun and friendly competitive gaming to both the fans of PvP gaming, and those curious about it. We are always willing to lend a hand with builds, classes, and general information about how the various forms of PvP are handled. Whether it be World vs World, Team Player vs Player, or just some mini games, the PvP Department is always striving to be a welcoming, fun, and laid back place for people to smash in a face or two!

RP
We provide our members with an immersive and fun experience for the new roleplayer to the seasoned writer alike. Whether it be in-game or on the forums, we want to promote imagination and storytelling that spans beyond just the Remnants of Hope guild borders. By working closely with other guilds, as well as our other GW2 Departments within RoH and organizing events with them, we aim for a continuous living story that people can get involved in and help to continue shaping.

Playing GW2 Socially or Casually
Although we have members doing progression fractals and working on legendaries, we also have many members who play when they have time, or enjoy the simpler pleasures in GW2 like levelling slowly or going on random adventures. We also have a very inviting approach when it comes to difficult content: many of our members are happy to bring along a “newbie” to dungeons or new content, but there’s no pressure for you to join events you aren’t interested in!
