Wouldn’t it be great if there’s more voice choices? I mean being able to tweek pitch and stuff to make a MOE character would be awesome

Of course, considering the amount of voice acting in story mode, might be hard to do? I dunno :\

That being said, I love both the female VAs for Sylvari and Asura, they fit really well.

i think adding some sliders wouldn’t hurt. sometimes you just want the voice to be a bit deeper or squeakier to match the face of the character.

of course, it would have to be something done well enough that it doesn’t make the characters sound silly.

I wouldn’t mind the ability to adjust the pitch of my characters voice at creation.
There would be no need to do full voice recordings with new voice talent.

It would be great if they were to get new voice talent for character voices.
I would totally spend Gems on that!!

Probably because Jennifer Hale does the voice for Sylvari Female. Ohhh man.

I’d love to be able to tweak the voice of my character a bit, however I can see how that would be a pretty difficult thing to do.

Something I already noticed during the beta was that (human) noble, commoner and streetrat all sound the same. It was a bit… strange to me at first. But in the end, you just get used to it.
I love the sylvari female voice though!

I really love the voices but they don’t feel as if they would fit every one of my characters. So that kinda limits my choice in creation

I remember reading that the devs were actually discussing doing this in one of the BWE when I read the forums here. I guess it didn’t pan out.

It would be rather pricey I would think and time consuming to give us voice options. Saying we had 3 to choose from for each race and gender, that’ll be 150 different people. o_O

Yeh this would be good but won’t happen. I can cope with all the voices except for my female human, I make each character to there own sort of spec and the 4 other race voices match well so i’m happy with that. For me though the voice doesn’t fit into my background for my female. I will probably eventually get over it but for now she’s on the backburner.

Yes it would be great to be able to choose a character’s voice, it would be not just “great” it would be normal when you have so many options for a character’s face and anatomy that you were able to chose its voice type there were voice for characters as it is.

My male Sylvari’s voice is so weird to my hear that I was thinking that it was an off voice from the game doing comments and overacting my character’s actions, much like in some humor programs there are background laughs^^. I have muted dialog just to not hear it. My Asura character’s voice is more bearable to me for the character. Nevertheless, there were options for customizing the character’s voice it might become interesting.

It’s not really that hard to make pitch and tone sliders on voices. Alot of non-MMORPG games actually have it (see SoulCalibur 5) and I don’t know why they haven’t done this yet for MMOs. Perhaps to minimize data transfer and avoid lag?
