This has happened few times before. I think it’s a bug – whenever I try to buy something the “BUY” option is greyed out. I have enough money on my character so that is not the issue, but it’s happened few times already so if anyone can look into this would be helpful.

I have exactly the same problem CharrGirl. It’s been like that since launch. Sometime I can buy things, other times the BUY button is greyed out

+1 My buddy has not been able to use the trading post, since joining two weeks ago. But this probably belongs in the bug section, even though its related to the trading post, as its obviously not working as designed.

I’m now having this problem, i just brought some stuff pre patch and after the patch it’s broken…..

It’s working now, oh wait no it’s not, i close awesomium.exe which got rid of the constant loading symbol, but now the buy button is greyed out.

Well there is a solution.
Delete your Local.dat file and re-log to the game.

I’m having this issues since day one.

Why there is no real solution yet from ANet?

I couldnt type in search window nor buy things on TP either, but then I changed my interface size from small to normal, and I could.

Friend tried the same thing, he plays on interface size – normal, and he changed to small just to realize he then could not search/buy either.

Try that, maybe it works for you.

My problem is the search function. I can buy as long as I don’t use the search to find what I want. If I do that, I can’t click on anything. It only started happening about a month ago.

I have tried everything today with this. Messed around with caches, dat files, awesomium process etc. I checked the interface size and it is normal. Even tried logging on to the browser page direct using both Firefox and IE. This worked for me, but I worked out that I had to enable popup windows on Firefox before that would work.

Thinking I had the answer, I rushed back into the game, but still the same. I even tried changing my default browser to IE as I am not sure if Awesomium uses the default browser or its own. But that didn’t work either. So I have run out of ideas.

My partner has a similar set up but he doesn’t have a problem, and it doesn’t seem very widespread, which is maybe why they haven’t prioritised the fix for these problems with the use of Awesomium for the trading post.

I rebooted several times and checked on two characters and it didn’t solve it for me.
