Okay, so I’ve been watching an item (a chef recipe) for a couple of weeks. The lowest ask price has been 6g with no change over this time. There was only 1 bid at 1g with no movement over the weeks. The number of items available has stayed static at 50…you guessed it with no change.

So, I finally decided that I’d try to see if a bid of 2g might convince one of those sellers of the 50 to change and sell. I go in the next day to look at the item and there are now 7 bids. 2g1s, 2g2S, etc. I’m sorry, but this clearly is unusual with there being no bids, new offers or additional items on the item for a few weeks.

Is this just something we need to live with or is this a reportable type activity?

Why is it impossible that more people though the same as you did, and the fact that you actually did it pushed them into doing it as well?

okay, for 2 weeks there is NOTHING…not a single change in bids, offers or number of items. The EXACT day that I place a bid the next day there are 7 new bids….that’s a pretty coincidental change. I suppose it IS possible, but….really?

FYI, I’ve now removed my bid…will be interesting to see if those 7 bids remain or go away as well…

If I had to guess on why this happened, was that some market speculators have been watching the item, and not having any activity for awhile, they decided just to wait and watch. You placed your bid, so they jumped into action, and placed similar bids hoping to be able to get that item, as it seemed a more reasonable bid than 1g.

Plus it’s not unusual to find that people generally have the same thoughts about the same time. Ususally if one person is thinking about it and acts on it, there will be dozens, if not more, people who have had the exact same thought, and decided to act after they saw one person act.

The recipe for Marjory´s Experimental Chili had changes in bids and lowest listings in recent days, so i dont know how you might think it saw no activity in weeks.
It was available between 75-200s for the longest time.
Yesterday someone bought out 70 recipes, so the lowest listing shot up to 6g and highest bid went up to 2g, which is normal.

I think i still got 2 stacks of those recipes in my bank.
