Hey,
i haven’t played GW2 for 3 months, so i might have missed something.
I came back and wanted to sell some stacks of items i had left on my Bank.
I used to look up how many buyorders there were and then i set my selling price lower than the price i need to reach to sell to all those small orders.
I used to get the the appropriate amount of gold for every buyorder placed, the buyorders which covered my stacks where 55s-52s.
So I set the price to 50s to sell all at once but after i sold everything the profit i calculated was not the same i actually got.
I got 500×50s and not as i should 23×54.52s, 53×54,23s, 43×53,79s…. and so on.
I lost a small fortune

Then to proof this I placed a buyorder and sold to myself for a really low price, i had to pay the real price, but only got the few silver i sold for.

I might have missed something in the 3 Months i haven’t played, i just want to ask if this is a bug or intended ?
Selling to everyone seperate if they all underbid by 1copper is really annoying.

there was a bug where you could avoid paying the tp fee. So Anet patched it. Now if you fill a buy order for 55 at 50, you just get 50 and 5 is sent back to buyer.

It was a troll solution imo. designed to punish players who were cheating the system and don’t pay attention to patch notes or are new to the game and want to make their lives easier.
- Before, if you see a buy order for Sunrise for 2800g, you could list your Sunrise for 5s, you would pay 25c in listing fee, and collect 2520g from the TP.
- Now, if you see a buy order for Sunrise for 2800g, and you list your Sunrise for 5s, you would pay 25c in listing fee, and collect 4s50c from the TP, and the person that placed the buy order gets refunded 2799g95s.
- How it should be is, if you see a buy order for Sunrise for 2800g, you could list your Sunrise for 5s, you would pay 140g in listing fee, and collect 2520g from the TP.

It was a far more lenient solution than banning those that were exploiting the system. Which is what they should have done imo.

Ban away, I don’t even care, but the better solution is to charge the listing fee as if you were selling to the highest buyer and then fill the order as if you sold it to the highest buyer. Having it work the way it does now is really punishing, especially when you consider situations like the OP’s.

Yeah, filthy exploiter trying to sell items to many different buy orders at once! How dare he?!

there was a reddit post about this. I forget which item it was, but it was written by the person that bought the item and got the 2700g refunded.
