I heard a rumor that Anet planned on releasing an item that does this on the shop.

Since I plan on/want to make a new fresh character and would really want to transfer soulbound things over from an old character (that I might not want to play anymore) I would really look forward to an item like this.

Is the rumor true?

Pretty much everyone want this kind of item in the shop. It´s ridiculous that your legendary(which took months of farming, exploring, crafting etc.) can only be used by one character.

It does, transferred Jug and Twilight off my Guardian just a few days ago.

I definitely need a soulbound → accountbound item. I had a MF set of ascended items on my main that I would like to give to an alt now that the stats are changed. No point having 2 sets on 1 char anymore.

I’m talking about the ascended rings and accessories bought with laurels and commendations. I had 1 set for WvW and another with MF for PvE. Now there’s no reason to have 2 sets on 1 character and I would like to move them to an alt.

The ones I use are all zerker stats, and for WvW I use armor with some toughness/vit to make up the difference.

And no, it remains soulbound when you change the stats (I had it equipped when the change went live). So I’m stuck with 2 soulbound sets on my main.

Same for me. I had a pair of magic find ascended rings (Yakington’s and the other 10% one) for my main. After the patch they have no stats, but are still soulbound. It’s a real bummer as they’re useless now. I have all the rings I need for my main. They were just my farming set.

i know what you meant and i still have a few diffrent sets of stats on rings, armor and weapons to diffrent builds its just impossible to play some builds without some stat combos so i need that in my oppinion.

Here’s one neat trick with splitters:

Char A has [infused] back item like say Endless Quiver that you want to pass it on to char B

Step 1 Transmute crystal so quiver gets stats of an account bound back item (ex: fervid censer / sclerite / toymaker bag)
Step 2 Result will be a quiver looking account bound with low stats, put it in bank.
Step 3 Log on B, retrieve it from bank
Step 4 Use trans splitter you get the acc bound back item back AND you can enjoy your infused Endless quiver on B

You can’t do this with rings or accessories because they don’t have a skin and cannot be transmuted.
