RIP City of Heroes
When do Chaos skins stop being 1 ticket?
RIP City of Heroes
Tomorrow they go up to 5.
+1
why is the price still for 1 ticket? When the price rises to 5?
When Evon says so.

Geikamir really screwed me up because Chaos Skin prices took a nose dive after the patch went live because they were still 1 ticket. Made 50g less than I would have if I sold the night before.
RIP City of Heroes
Probably until a new set of weapons is released. Next content patch is 4. nov.
i don’t like this type of randomness
Ley line skins had no warning. The patch was the warning (not in notes or in patch warning, but that the upcoming living story patch ’made it 1 to 5). There was no forum communication about when they would go up, i checked it carefully.
Don’t get your hopes up.
No excuse anymore for not giving ‘hide mounts’-option
No thanks to unidentified weapons.
investor were rekt. let’s cross fingers

I was going off of history and also this:
“New Chaos weapon skins are available for the next four weeks from Black Lion Weapons Specialists for the introductory price of one Black Lion Weapon Ticket. Black Lion Weapon Tickets can be found in Black Lion Chests.”

So technically they could mean AFTER 4 weeks, but that’s misleading.
Silly me, I was looking through the Evon blog posts for info, should have cross referenced with the patch notes. Thanks Geikamir for pointing me to where you got your info from.
Lots of plans went awry do to the onset of collections. Between the changes in ticket scrapes, leaving this class as a 1 ticket item made it a target for everyone to try to profit off them beyond what might have happened when it went to 5 tickets.

it is always like this
blacklion skins go most time down in price short time after they go from 1 to 5 tickets
cause alot people stock up on this skins (the keyrunners) and think they will make instant big profit when skin costs 5 tickets and throw all there skins on the market
this market is a slow one and it needs a long time to make profit

This.
I stopped investing in Black Lion Skins a long time ago. Ever since key running become popular, the market is saturated, it takes way too long to gain some profit and too many hobby investors hold on to supply.

Wouldn’t be the first time that ANet pulled a Tolkien (“speak, friend, and enter”) or a Sting (“place it on Lucky Dan”), where the phrasing could be interpreted in several “correct” ways.
I doubt very much it’s intended; I think some of the flavor-text writers aren’t very careful with their word choices.
edit: syntax fix

oh man, that’s not fair, that’s not fair…. hello anet
Anet is going to fix this situation? it’s not funny
The reason why it is crazy low and will probably stay even if the cost of ticket goes up to 5 each is because before sept9 patch, everyone speculated that chaos skins will rise up so everyone hoarded it. It is the reason why before the patch, the price went up from 80 to 120gold. The low priced ones were all bought by the speculators.
After that patch, anet increased the drop rate of tickets and keyfarmers who saved their keys and used it after the patch got a lot of ticketd which added to the market.
So now those people who hoarded decided they need to get rid of their skins asap because they speculated it will not inflate like the other skins because of the increased drop rate of ticket after patch.
Now the market is being flooded with low priced chaos skin weapons because of these 2 happenings.
Like it’s been said before, November 4th, probably.
Unless they’re planning on releasing a Halloween set…

I don’t raid, I barely fractal, and I suck beyond words at PvP and WvW.
But I try, and that’s what counts.
