I’m trying to level cooking through discovery, but I’m just not seeing some of the collectibles and things I’ve got in the bank in the discovery pane. Noticed today that bowls of blueberry pie filling, bananas and bags of starch were all missing. Is there a limit on the number of things that can appear in that pane, is this a bug, or is there something else going on that I’m missing?

Once you’ve discovered the recipes involving certain ingredients (like blueberry pie filling) they won’t appear in the discovery panel anymore because they are in the recipe list. I think that’s what you mean, right?

No that’s not what he means. For some reason some items appear to be bugged. For me Blueberry Pie filling, Bowls of Roux et are all not showing.

I was trying to learn the Mixed Berry Pie Filling which uses the Blueberry Pie Filling as a base and I can’t learn it despite the pie filling being in my bag.

I tried moving it to the bank et with no luck.

Yeah, NoOneShotU is right. I should be able to make, say, chocolate bananas – I don’t have that recipe yet – but bananas are bugged and not showing in my discovery pane. There are quite a few items missing.

Uhm, if I’m not mistaken ‘Bowls of Roux’ is a recipe that’s already discovered automatically when you level up cooking.

I suspect it’s working as intended; you won’t see all the mats all the time.

• Some mats only show in discovery after reaching a certain rank.
• Mats stop showing in discovery when you’ve learned all the relevant recipes.
• They don’t always show in the expected order.

Can you describe your character’s current chef rank and which items aren’t appearing? I probably have a toon I can compare.

Why can’t you accept that its a bug?

I’m 400 skill. The wiki has a recipe for a Mixed Berry Pie Filling. It claims Blueberry Pie Filling as a base. I can put the other 3 items in the craft window but not the pie filling because I don’t see it. They say 1 known recipe with the other 3 berries.

I can see all three items mentioned by the OP in an r0 chef: bananas, starch, and yes, Blueberry Pie Filling. So, I’m not sure why it’s not showing up for you.

The three things I mentioned above are reasons that have caused people, including myself, to think that something was missing from the discovery pane. I posted them, because that information has been useful to many people in leveling their chef rank. I am sorry that it is not useful to you.

I ran into this problem as a tailor, until I realized that if you need to purchase a recipe for something it won’t show up if you’ve found out every other recipe-until you buy the appropriate recipe and learn it.

I tried it again this morning and had no issue. I’m guessing either they fixed this, or it happens when you have too many other intermediate items in your bags.

To be honest I hadn’t tried this since before Halloween when I did cooking.
