Q:

I noticed that luck is now labeled as an ingredient in artificing. What recipe is this included in? Personally I am a bit confused as to why anet thought this was a good idea.

Luck is an account bound “currency” derived by blues, greens and most notably ecto salvages (thereby inferring rares and exotics as well). I fear for my further continuation of this convoluted system of dependencies on commodities.

A:

An artificer can combine the lower tier luck into the higher tier luck (at no luck cost).

5 blues —> 1 green
2 greens --> 1 yellow
2 yellows —> 1 orange

Honestly it just saves a ton of clicking, and is very appreciated.

Also some people are at 300% luck MF (or will be soon) and right now the essences have no point beyond that.

Fear not.
